Finished watching Battlestar Galactica, it's quite amazing how similar the Quarian/Geth story in ME is to the show :P

I loved it, but there's one thing I don't quite understand...
What the hell is Kara Thrace? An angel, like the ones Gaius and Caprica 6 are seeing, except Kara is actually flesh and blood?
Gonna start watching Fringe now...

Yeah, that whole deal is bizarre. Perhaps the writers left that open for interpretation in case of a spin-off, just as they left "Daniel" open, and was further explained in Caprica. There's a new show coming out soon called Blood and Chrome, which focuses on the First Cylon War. Doubt it'll shed any light on Kara, but we'll probably get to see more on Bill Adama.

Did you watch The Plan or Razor or any of the webisodes?

Also, if you guys haven't seen Game of Thrones yet, you'd better hop on that wagon (which I may even be late for). Terrific story, just be warned, you'll have to wait for season 3...

What is everyone's thoughts on the Dark Knight Rises?IndianaJones414

And I'll be giving this one a miss. Was bored witless with The Dark Knight...

Haha you can't just be happy for the galaxy can you, Maj! :P

Nah, I get what you're saying. It is all too perfect, but if the story has to end somewhere, I'm personally happier knowing that one person's sacrifice made so much difference. Don't forget, Synthesis only affected this galaxy, who's to say that the next galaxy over isn't home to a violent war-like civilisation? There will always be conflict - perhaps there will still be unrest, murder, war, etc. But for now, partying with the Ewoks is a good idea. Even ROTJ ended on a high note, only for the comics to bring about further conflict. There's no way Bioware is sitting there twiddling their thumbs. We can definitely expect something else.

I had a look through all three endings pre- and post- extended cut (as well as Reject ending) and I'll agree, the extended cut was very necessary. It made Synthesis much more appealing, as you said. If anything I'd have gone for Control, otherwise. But it still didn't feel as final as Synthesis. With Control, just say that geth or another synthetic civilisation turns on organics? Shep-Reapers bring death from the sky. With Synthesis, it feels like there's less of a chance of war. It felt final. And very happy, which is what I was pleased with most. Because I'm a sap for that kinda stuff

Haha I finished it about a week or two ago. And have since been in hibernation. Mourning Shepard :P
It took me so long because I didn't want it to end... I really tried to keep it going, by forcing myself to get the GAW rating high, as it kept going down whenever I didn't play, I forced myself to play online, so as not to finish it.

The poll should have been guess who chose which ending. Majin I'm surprised that you liked Synthesis!

I went with Synthesis, in the hopes that it meant peace, because I'm lame like that. It felt like the ultimate sacrifice, which justified my paragon Shep.
Thanks for posting the links to Control and Destroy, as well. Been meaning to check them out, since I can't bring myself to play again just yet...

EDIT: Additionally! In a way, Synthesis = Battlestar Galactica ending anyone?

Which ending did any of our renegades most agree fitted their Shep?

Also, point me toward the "Beings of Light"/Catalyst conspiracy theory threads. Let me at 'em!

I tried but alas I just can't stay away. And besides, I could never leave you Caity, I'd miss you too much.

As to the article, thanks for posting it. This next segment really resonated with me:

"Because that's what gamers do, if this behavior is to be believed. Attack individuals en masse, forgetting they are people, and then acting betrayed when their victims have the nerve to bite back. It's all very well expecting "professional conduct" from a developer when a customer is angry, but when anybody's being demolished by a rampant tsunami of abuse, I don't think there's any amount of professional expectation that makes it unacceptable to lose one's cool and say something in return.

It is the height of entitlement to believe you can say whatever you want, as hurtful as you like, and expect not a word of a retort. Those gamers now acting butthurt because Flynn and Hepler responded to the abuse are as cretinous and pathetic as one can get. The fact that this surrounds BioWare -- a studio known for making more adult games -- makes it all the more sad."

Yay you aren't so gone afterall :D
Missed you too, Lew. It's been too long.

Actually you know what, I agree with you. That part stuck with me as well. But so many other factors bug me about the situation...
She was not the only writer on this project. Her crazy ideas could have been vetoed. This isn't single handedly her fault. For some reason, BioWare have kept her onside for this long, so she must have something they desire.

But then for these people to attack her personally? I'm sorry but the moment you refer to another human being as a "fat btch", your argument automatically becomes invalid. If someone is incapable of addressing another individual in a respectful and courteous manner, then they really do need to go back to kindergarten. They do not deserve the attention of this lady - where I believe that neither Hepler nor Flynn should have responded to the arrogance. A simple message to all users on the forums from BioWare would have been sufficient.

Additionally, if people hate Dragon Age 2 so much, there's a simple solution to that... Don't play it. Duh!

I forgive anyone who skipped all of that. :P

Here's the Take Earth Back trailer that played during The Walking Dead...

majinstrings

I envy you folks in the US. You get an awesome advertisement during an awesome television show...

Still, it's a pretty solid trailer. In my opinion, it's better than most of the gameplay trailers we're being teased with. Hurry up, March.

Aw Lew's gone... See you after the jump, man.

I'm still tossing up whether to play the demo or just wait for the full thing. It'll be hard to stop after finishing the demo D:

In other news, has anyone seen the nonsense surrounding Hepler (writer for TOR and Dragon Age)? What a mess...  :/

Haha Freddie played Fred in the live action film for Scooby Doo, alongside his wife, Buffy, I mean Sarah Michelle Gellar.

That's all I know of.

Have we already gushed over how Freddie Prinze Jr is voicing James Vega? No? Yes? Can we do it anyway?

Wonder whom else is going to lend their voice to this game, that we don't already know of.
