@banhammer: i dont think u know how nvidia works. Nvidia jus sells the chips. Its the retailers jacking up the prices. Itsbasically supply not meeeting demand and nvidia playing safe jus incase d crypto craze dies and suddenly there a massive amt of stock with no prospective buyers to sell d remaining gpus
@jimmythang: the thing is nvidia sees 3 potential customers. one the gamers , the designers(quadros) & the new crypto customers. they trying to slowly not betray the crypto miners coz they see them as a potential revenue generator in the future
@banhammer: It's different when it comes to these things, NVidia could specify in the EULA and on advertising that it's a gaming GPU and will not perform well in mining, obliterate hash rates through hardware design, and get off with no legal trouble at all. You can't sue a company for their product performing badly in an area they've specifically stated it doesn't work for, and that you agreed that you understand in their EULA that you accept and acknowledge that it doesn't.
There's no way around that method. You'd be breaking the law using the products without agreeing to the EULA, lol.
Their get-out-of-jail-free card is telling you before hand. Crippling performance after the fact is how they get screwed.
what i dont get? NVIDIA has the power ,the kill switch to render nvidia gpus useless for mining & still they wont do it? WHO ARE YOUR PRIORITIES? Gamers who been faithful to you for decades or the recent miners?
@Fallenlords69: simple becoz the current games are bug ridden, drm intrusive, filled with locked content, season passes and dlc based. People prefer when playing and fin was a achievement. Nowdays an achievement would be paying for extra content to get the full experience
Simple. Coz its done by a co that understsands gamers and their needs. They wanna give gamers the full experience instead of rushing half baked games ex deus ex, prey, battlefront 2. They stand in delivering a quality product instead of rushing, shoving drm down our throats, or locking content behind dlc or season passes.
@simonspearman86: the constant bs that games cost money got even idiot gamers on their side who proab dunno how costs work. that argument would have worked with manafacturing cartridges , mail costs, etc. hell even a 26mb hdd which once used to cost 5000 usd no we can snag a 1tb samsung 850 evo for 250 usd.
@Atzenkiller: online differs from co such as orgin acesss or. all software eula clearly state 1 copy=1 install. surely u have no idea about software & ip copyrights. all co prevent you from leasing or copying their IPs
