I think the character was well written for the most part but that voice and the dumb hairstyle kinda ruined it to me.

I do agree that that hairstyIe was... wow. But it to me fit into his desire to be wildly different, and to him, superior. Same thing with his voice, it's as if he didn't care about humanity, he was bored by it. I might be overreaching, though.

This gen began when the first "this generation" system was released, and it will end when the final system left in this gen (most likely either PS3 or 360) ends its formal lifespan. Two generations can coexist with one another. The newest generation began with the 3DS.

I'll just list the top characters of all time, I'm way too scatter-brained to list individual generations (no order):

-Solid Snake: A gruff character with a personality, smart, cool and tough. A superb character.

-The entire cast of Persona 4: Yes, I'm cheating. And I don't care :P They're the most realistic characters I've ever seen.

-Seymour Guado: A villain he may be, but also my absolute favorite one. Demented, heartless, bizarre but surprisingly endearing.

-Samus Aran: No matter the iteration, Samus is one of the bravest and admirable characters in gaming history.

-The Prototype Big Daddy: Somehow, I felt more attached to a mute amalgam of a man and a machine than to most other human characters. Great writing, that.

Dead Space Ignition. A vacuous, stupid waste of time that I got for free. Absolute garbage.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is one contender. And Demon's Souls, though it's gotten more popular as of yet.

You seem to have an incredible hate for Nintendo. Why? I don't understand this. Those people are allowed to have their opinions without having yours pushed down their throats (or computer screens). And the SSB series is a fighter series by definition, it is not arguable. You can think it sucks, but it is still a fighter, period.

Yes, for any platformer I use a simple PC controller. Playing Super Meat Boy with a keyboard is a nightmare.
