Hello people,

I am upgrading my cpu. I currently have socket 939. I would like to upgrade to intel, so what motherboard (cheap) would be most suitable to support an intel core 2 duo as well as my 7900 gt? cheers

Thanks for the help. Do you know if there are any Athlon FX processors that are comparible in terms of speed to the 6400 X2?

What are you talking about? I just want some help and I'm pretty sure my help is related to PC hardware, so I don't think I'm wasting forum space. Please can anyone respond appropriately to my question in the first post? Any help would be great. Thanks

I have figured out that I have socket 939. Is this compatible with the AMD 6400 X2? If not, is there another AMD CPU which is of comparable speed to the 6400 X2, which my comuter would be compatibel with? Please help, any help will be much appreciated.

Hey people,

I am considering upgrading my AMD 4200 X2 to a AMD 6400 X2 Black Edition. Now, I want to be sure I will be compatible with the upgrade and I'm not sure if my socket is right. Since my current CPU is compatible, does that mean that the 6400 will work? I think I have a 400W PSU. Will that be enough?

Please help people, I want to upgrade before UT 3 comes out in Aus. Any help is much appreciated.

My specs at the moment:

4200 X2

2 gig ram

7900 gt

Because I already have a 4200 X2 installed, does that mean my computer will be compatible to replace the 4200 X2 with a 6000 X2?

hey guys,

I am considering upgrading my 4200 X2 to a 6000 X2 to increase my comps performance for UT 3. Because I already have an AMD X2 CPU, does that mean that my computer will be compatible with the upgrade? And also, I have never self installed a new CPU, and I was wondering if anyone could provide a step by step guide for installing the AMD 6000 X2, it would be much appreciated. thanks guys
