I have no level!!!

After all the posting and time spent on these board now I have no level. Hopefully this is just one of those temporary Glitchspot things.

EDIT: Well you can ignore that post. It seems that Glicthspot has settled down and I have my rank back.

I rented this movie yesterday because I had sort of been interested in it since it came out. I had though this was somewhat of a comedy from the commercials, but I was wrong. This is a very serious movie that tells the tale of one of the greatest gun runners of all time. The whole movie has a great visual style. And Nicholas Cage does a great job playing the main character. I especially liked the opening CG scene following a bullet from the factory to where it is shot. Over all I would say that I really enjoyed this movie. I would give it 2 thumbs up.

I have really surprised myself lately. When the I pods came out I never wanted one. I thought all of that was useless. But ever since I got a 1 gig memory stick for my PSP I have turned it into a serious MP3 player, with over 75 songs currently.

Elsewhere I am stile waiting for my games to come out. At least September isn't that far away for Scarface. But it looks like I will be waiting till well into next year for Mercs 2. I had thought about getting my PS3 at launch, but $600 is a bit much for me. I have the cash, but I just don't want to spend it. If Sony would make a huge surprise announcement at TGS and drop the price $100 then I would probably buy it. I was also looking into the launch titles. Warhawk looks pretty good, but so do a lot of other ones. I guess I am going to wait till TGS to see what I will do. If Sony would put rumble back in it might be worth it.

I am starting to think that people of the Mercs 2 board have lost sight of what type of game Mercs is. They want a thousand different stealth tactics when its not a stealth game. They want stuff that's just crazy to consider putting into this type of game. I know that the designers regularly read the boards on the site, and I know they like to give the fans what they want. But I hope they don't ruin the Mercs philosophy with a bunch of the stupid things that people are talking about there.

I have finally found the right header image for my blog. The one I had was alright but the quality was a litte crappy. But this image is just perfect.

In another news I am still waiting for my new games to come out. I am thinking about renting Flatout2 when it comes out. Scarface is still a few months off. The gameplay sounds great, but the graphics are a little on the GTA side. But if the gameplay and story live up to my hype I can live with it just fine. Mercs 2 and the PS3 are still very far away. The game looks great for being so early.

I still have a ton of games to beat ever since my Intec 16MB memory card decided to erase itself. I lost about 15 game saves. So far I have only started back 3, and only beat 1 out of those three.

And thats about all for this one. Maybe in a week or two I will post another.

Lately I have found myself in a bit if a Dirty Harry Craze. It started a while back when I had found out that they were going to make a Dirty Harry videogame back when I was watchin E3 on G4. It then gained strentgh when I saw the first movie on TV about a month ago. Now it's getting stronger. The other day I watched the last Dirty Harry movie in the series, The Dead Pool. I'm starting to get a little impatient with the game though. They haven't reveled anything since E3. We still don't even know what type of game it is. Will it be a classic liner shoot-em-up, or will it be a freeroming sandbox game in the line of GTA? Personally, I am hoping for the latter.

I also read the new preveiw for the Scarface game. The graphics look like they will leave something to be desired, but the game makes up for it with the drug empire building gameplay. Also, I've gotten intrested in the new Flatout game. I really liked the first one and it's backwoods destruction derby theme. I don't know about the second one and its new city racing with supercars though. It's sort of losing what I liked about the first one. I will have to play it to see.

For a long time now my computer has been giving me lots of trouble. Being that its a 1998 model running windows 2000, I don't see how its still operating. I routinly have to stop surfing the web because of some error in my old Internet explorer browser. Lately my troubles have been on the rise. 2 or 3 times in a 6 or 7 hour period I have to close Internet explorer because it has an error. I wish me and my parents could agree to get a new one. But my dad is completely against it. He is extremely cheap. He even built his own boat instead of buying one a while back. For a long time we had dial-up because it was the cheapest thing possible. But the Bellsouth said they were raising the price of dial-up so instead we went with the cheapest DSL we could get. I wish he would just consider it. Our computer is so full of problems it just will fall apart one day.

Well it seems like its finally happened. The Criminal Inc. Union has been turned over to a new leader and its become a sports union. I'm not really into sports so I decided not to join.

Lately I've been feeling disconnected from gamespot. Occasionally I would log on and post a little, but all of the good times are gone. I've moved on the the Mercs 2: WiF board on their official site. But even that board has started to lose favor with me. Its turned into another one of those boards where you have a hundred "n00bs" posting topics with stupid questions and even stupider ideas about stuff that will never happen in the game. I can't stand those types of boards. No one wants to think realistically.

In other news on my 4th play-through of GTA San Andreas I have found two odd things. One is that after 2 years I have finally found the burglar mission boxville in Las Venturas. I didn't think that there was one in LV. The other was when I took Denise out for a date a message popped up and said that a jealous girl-friend spotted me and that I had to run from her. It was Katie from SF in her white hearse. She began chasing me and I drove far away and she stopped. I had never heard of that ever occuring in the game.

Thats about all thats I feel like typing for right now. Im getting a little tired of gamespot for now so dont expect me to be around for a while.

Well, I recently borrowed The Aviator DVD because I had heard about this movie and was interested in seeing it. And I must say, it was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Leonardo DiCaprio did a great job playing the mad millionaire Howard Hughes. I did have a few little upsets about it though. For one I thought the ending wasn't really good. It ends way to soon. The movie could have focused a little less on Hughes' OCD complex and could have gone on to show some of the better parts of his later life like they way he bought most of the casinos in Vegas and moved the mob out. That and in a few parts of the movie the color seemed to be off. Like when he landed his H-1 racer in a beet field, the field was bright blue instead of green like it should be. But thats about all. Very good movie over all.

For now Im not really active on the GS boards. Everything has kind of died here. I've become really active on the official Mercs 2 WiF board though. If you are ever there, look me up. My screen name is Automaniac257

And thats all thats happening in my life. Im enjoying my music on my PSP. So far I have about 45 songs on it (all for free). And it looks like I wont have to work much more. So now I can just chill and wait for the next round of game releases. 

Well, I finally found what I was looking for. A nice Scandisk 1 Gig memory stick for my PSP. I had been looking for  one on sale for a while. The normal price of around $80 bucks was a little to much for me. But Office Depot had them on sale for $40 so I decided to get me one.

The old 32MB just wasn't cutting it. I had two games and 7 songs on it and only had about 4 MB left. Now I can put almost my entire MP3 collection (a whole 25 songs) on it without worrying about having space left for games or pictures. And now I don't have to keep hooking it up to my PC to transfer songs back and forth because I got tired of one.

Also I have recently gotten BLACK because it dropped below the $30 mark. I had thought about getting it for a while and decided to treat myself to some fine FPS action. I havent beaten it yet, but when I do I will try to post a reveiw.

And thats about all thats going on right now. The boards seem dead and Im catching up on lost sleep.

Well it looks like my days of sleeping till lunchtime will be over. Ive got to put in a lot of work this summer. From building furniture with my dad to helping out at a camper dealership i m going to be pretty busy from now on. Hopefully soon we will be finished and i can go back to my lazy habits and post on all my favorite boards all day. But for now all I can do is post in my off time during the afternoon. I will try to keep up appearances but I'm not promising anything.

Its that time again. The time for a new game to come out. And this time it's Hitman: Blood Money. Im pretty excited about this one. All of the new locations and finally a true sequal to Silent Assassin. Contracts was still a very good game, but it felt more like an expansion pack than a true sequal. It set up the story for Blood Money and I can't wait to find out what that story is.

I also can't wait for all the new features and moves you can now preform. Instead of picking locks you can just shoot them now, you can push people off of balconys and stair cases and over ledges, throw knives instead of just slashing, hide weapons behind your back so people dont see them, upgrade guns, use human sheilds, there are so many things its hard to list.

There is also a good buzz going around that this is one fine game. im getting my copy on the 31st so it looks like i will be off the internet for a while trying to get silent assassin rankings on all my missions.

Also in the spirit of Hitman, I have decided to change my avitar. long gone is Boss Hogg and now we have a spattering of sceens from the game.
