[QUOTE="deviates1080"]How low can 360's price go? You do have to hold SOME value, don't you? You have a reliability issue and missing hardware that are already hurting the console value. As time goes on, 360 number of titles won't matter as much as the quality. And already PS3 has showed that it can match, if not beat, the 360's best. Its just a matter of time. There seem to be a few assumptions that we really can't be certain about. Half of PS2 users will move over to PS3? link?
With the price drop argument wouldn't you expect Microsoft to do something similar, to keep their console competitively priced? So a consumer will be going into the stores and will see their beloved Playstation more expensive than a console with a handful of games missing, but a handful that are missing from the PS3.It seems so strange that in so many of these threads the major thing the PS3 has is the PS2 users. Does that mean that they WILL beat the 360? Not necessarily, if that were true we'd still be seeing Nintendo vs Sega generations. But times change.

Also, it isn't the lowest priced console that wins here. Otherwise, 360 and PS3 sales would have been non-existant after Wii release. Its about hitting a certain price range that the masses will except. And most feel that Sony will hit this by spring of '08 at the latest. And by then there will be all of the major exclusives released for the PS3 by then. Most of which are prior series that people love.
I have both the ps3 and the 360 and the 360 has everything it needs to be a better gaming system than the ps3. graphically I have not seen anything on the ps3 that is graphically better. Almost a year into it's life and I've only bought one game for my ps3.
