Heya, i have decided to buy the Rock Xtreme 770 laptop. I have only just discovered Rock so i dont know what they are like. Are they any good when it comes to returns, warranty, customer service and things like that? thanks.
PLUS, does anyone know if this laptop comes with a fingerprint scanner? It appears to but i wanna make sure.
PLUS, am i making the correct choice for a gaming laptop
Could you please answer any or all parts? thanks Your'e answers are bloody useful!
There most likely won't be a mobile 8800 released, unless nVidia does something drastic to lower power consumption.
Most laptops cannot have their video card upgraded, so I'll just say no.

actually, there will be a 8800 released for laptops http://www.ultrasharpware.com/blog/2007/06/20/the-first-laptop-with-8800m-toshiba-satellite-x200-203/
hmm ok kl. As for the laptop itself, are Rock laptops 'good'? and worthy of buying?
thanks for all your answers btw guys. they're bloody useful!
Laptop eh? I'd expect the Go 7950GTX to be better, but the 8700M GT sounds nice... especially since the 8600M GT is a pretty good card.Hiryuu_
exactly. its a really tough decision as they both are great. If it helps, the 7950 would be in a dell xps m1710 and the 8700m would be in a rock xtreme 770
[QUOTE="cbear68"]its not way better its just a little better and id say go for the 8700M GT because it will last you longer because of direct 10 espically because you can't upgrade graphics cards on a laptop[QUOTE="mastershake575"][QUOTE="LouieV13"]the 7950 is way better but the 8700GT has DX10 but the 7950 is way betterLouieV13
lol oh right. so, im guessing they will both run crysis and which one will i be able to play future games on with? or at least, which one will be better in the long run
I thought the 8700GT its pretty much a 8600GTS or is it better? If its better than a 8600GTS go for it it has DX10 and looks pretty good...hmm ok. OR is it worth me waiting a few months until the 8800 is released? will that definitely be better than the 7950?

oh really? so the 7950 will be more 'future proof' with games than the other?
