@berserker66666 Not just their customer service, this is EA in a nutshell. Once they've acquired your money any notion of quality, service, etc. is out the window. Learned my lesson after they refused to release ME3 on steam to try to give Origin some momentum. Proud to say I have not purchased any of their products since this nonsense and will continue my boycott until they adopt business practices that do not disrespect their own customer base.
EA has finally done it! They beat those nasty pirates and greedy, unsympathetic used-game buyers by creating a product that fights its own players so much that no one in their right mind would want to acquire it by means legal or otherwise. Congrats EA :)
@cinerius Or better yet, maybe let players do something crazy like oh, I dunno, pick where they want to go? Or even how to get there if they're feeling really ambitious. Nothing I hate seeing more than good parkour system held back by linear level design.
If they're even slightly considering open world game play I just pray they don't even bother calling it Resident Evil. If they're serious about rebooting the series with a renewed emphasis on horror it needs to be done ala REmake. That is, with dim, claustrophobic and above all atmospheric environments that give a genuine feeling of unease. I've had enough of one of my (formerly) favorite series being snubbed off as sub-par military shooters.
Anyone getting the feeling Valve may be getting ready for a console entry of their own? I would welcome the extra competition, especially if they managed to make a plausible all digital console (I'd love to be able to transfer my steam library to my living room.)
