@digressions No question about that, but as it stands it's still there for the express purpose of showing off a new generation of tech, which it does in spades. Sure, art direction wise it does little to stand out but we gotta remember that art direction is totally in the hands of the developers. After all, the Unreal 3 engine was able to produce games as atmospheric and striking as Arkham Asylum.
But seriously, this looks like the first faithful portable recreation of the AC formula I've seen so far and am very excited to play it. The female, black protagonist only sweetens the deal.
Looking great, can't wait to revisit some of my favorite PS2 memories, particularly MGS3. The absolute only thing I would have liked to see was the crouch-walk from the 3DS version make the transition.
