Yes, this was the worst whoring out of the franchise, not any of the other Halo games.

@fend_oblivion I guess their biggest failure is doing such a bad job of the PC port then.

I don't know what he's talking about, because it seemed really good on PS3. It'd be nice if the sequel wasn't exclusive though.

@Ravenlore_basic By that logic we should all still be content with our Ataris or Pong systems or something, and even though there is a lot of sequels and copied gameplay all over the place I'd say it's a pretty pessimistic view to say that there isn't any new innovation in gaming ever.

@Shinobi120 Your points are all too valid, and it's something I've been worried could happen for a while now. I guess I'm just choosing to be an optimist for now.

@mav_destroyer My very strong feeling is that many people don't really know how much better graphics have gotten in the past 6 years, and that's why they think they are so content with current consoles.

@TohouAsura I don't know about anything else, but I am definitely still playing Tetris.

The title of this article made me laugh so hard.

Announcing it early really doesn't seem like the problem, it's all the statements about its status since then really. I guess 3+ years isn't really all that long for a game, but it doesn't seem like there's any firm time period for when it will be done. I personally have been starting to worry that there's sort of a DNF thing going on here.

It sure looks like they've ruined a good franchise.
