I hope this is just a bad rumor because you can't get sh** for $250 in terms of hardware, especially with a controller that is basically half a DS.

If it were me I would pony up some extra cash for a better processor, bigger hard drive, and probably a bit better video card too. Maybe like a 550Ti or something around that range for a video card. At least an i3 like 2120 or something, although I would personally try to squeeze an i5 out of my budget if at all possible.

On newegg I put something simliar together with a 550ti and i5 2400 and a 2tb drive for around $550, which I think is a lot closer to what you should spend, and if you were going to spend more definitely the video card would be where you would. $600 should get you a decent gaming PC these days (not including peripherals like mouse keyboard and monitor).

Nintendo Power used to be awesome. We used to be very excited waiting around for it to come, and would save issues as long as you could save anything in our house. This doesn't seem like sad news to me though, it has been a long time since I thought magazines served any purpose at all.

I agree that they have stretched this generation way too thin, but I don't think that is why mobile games have gotten so popular lol.
