...how can you gaurantee that mass effect will be high AAA/goty? bioware has never won a goty award. bioware's games have never scored higher than 9.2. bioware's last game scored an 8.4

think of all the other games that have been hyped to score as well but have turned out not meeting they hype?

I'm not sure, all I know is I'm really looking forward to this game.  The ideas behind the game sound awesome and it looks like it's turning out well, how could I not hype it a little?

But really cmon, It was an action game, it was like dark messiah but more open ended. Its nothig like morrowind was. - all them elements its just GTA.

RPG's are allowed to have action in them.  Not every RPG has to have a turn-based combat system.

Gamespot aren't orange-lovers judging apples, they're gamers just like us who want to tell us what is and isn't worth spending your hard-earned cash on.

I agree.  I don't have the kind of money to shell out for "merely decent" games like Crackdown and part of the help I get from avoiding paying good money for mediocre games is Gamespot and IGN's review system.  They do a pretty good job.

All of the points in the review are valid.  I didn't need a score from GS to realize the game wasn't going to be very good.  The last paragraph sums everything up perfectly.

WTH Crackdown an A game??Gamespot is more rigged to the Wii than blizzard is to the zerg. I almost pre-ordered after playing the demo, but then I realized I could just keep the demo and never have to buy the game and do all that retarded gang lord crap.

Way I see it:

Huge city: Check

Awesome abilities: Check

Great graphics: Check
