Bigger harddrive, bigger discs, better CPU, free online and Final Fantasy.

It's stupid to think PS3 has nothing to offer over Xbox 360 but what I think is stupid is just how little of it there is.

Nothing worth the extra $200.

1. Sports games. Sports games are HUGE with casual gamers and the Wii is tailor made for sports games and companies like EA have already pledged full support. Actually swinging a golf club, baseball bat, throwing a football or a punch in boxing is proving to be a lot more enticing than the analog alternative. The success of Wii sports is proof in the pudding.

2. 1st party Nintendo liscences - classic franchises. Make no mistake about it, games like SSBB, Mario Galaxy, Zelda TTP and to a lesser extent MP3 are Nintendo's answer to the GTA's and Halo's that the competition offer. These are blockbuster franchises and continue to put up numbers that are comparable.

3. 1st party Nintendo liscences - New IP's - Games like Disaster Day of Crisis and Project Hammer are geared more towards older gamers, but more importantly are Nintendo's new IP's that will come in the form of Non games. With Nintendo's new mantra for innovation, new IP's like Nintendog's (DS), Braintraining, Wiisports ect. have become cultural phenomanens, and incite MASSIVE growth in the industry with non-gamers. Rest assured, these innovative titles will always be just waiting around the corner with the Wii. Nintendogs single handedly crippled the PSP in the handheld race, what will Nintendo have waiting in the wings with the Wii.

4. Classic games - VC - Nintendo's library of classic titles absolutely demolishes those seen from competitors. nuff said.

5. Mini game compilations - short and sweet without much depth. just how the casuals like em...

6. Other genre's of games on the Wii that have a lot of potential simply because of the design of the controller are FPS, and RTS. The success of the console will breed more games that Nintendo is not traditionally known for.

Is all I'm hearing until you post your logic.

Here is a logically point of view. How many people waited for 360? How many peopl waited for the Dreamcast? How many people waited for the NES? I can go on all day.

I waited a year for 360.

I'm waiting a year for Wii.

I'm never getting a PS3.

I want to hear exactly what you have to say.

Yes.  Why would I not buy the system that the games are coming to.  That would mean I'm not a gamer.

How about some fair comparisons:

I'm giving the edge to Mass Effect personally since I think the textures in that game are just plain better than MGS4's, but MGS4 still looks like it's early in development so a really fair comparison probably won't come until both games are out.

It's hard to tell though because the last pic for Mass Effect has an awfully ugly close-up of the main character in combat and the last MGS4 shot has an awfully ugly close-up of the ground textures.

My favorites are stuff like Ridge Racer, F-Zero, Wipeout, Need for Speed, Burnout, stuff like that.

FF13 is the only game for PS3 not made by Sony that I can't even imagine ever going to 360.  It's a Japanese game, made for Japanese people, who just happen to hate the Xbox 360.  What part of putting FF13 on 360 makes sense to you?

The difference in graphics between the two is stunning.  Mass Effect look absolutely amazing, whereas MGS4 looks like it could have been done on the Original Xbox.  This really shows the difference in power between the 360 and the PS3.viper7721

I don't want to defend the PS3 or anything but I think that's just a bad screenshot of MGS4, the TC should get a better screenshot of it and make a fair comparison.  I think that pic of Mass Effect can still stand up to some of the best shots of MGS4.  The textures are just way better.
