i guess my video card is what is processing the graphics because it says all the info about my vid card for the info u told me to look at. is there any way i can make it so that i am using the new vid card, but the nvidia gpu?CnCis4w3som3

Well, you have yet to tell us what this "video card" is. Tell us the Dxdiag information as Stinger78 suggested - because that is the one and only card your PC will use when running the game. Theres no way to use the other.

If you right-click anywhere on you desktop, do you get an Nvidia Control Panel / ATI Catalyst Control Center / Graphics Properties option? These are driver specific display adjusters that might work better.

If you can buy another router that support your USB modem, that would be the optimal solution.

Otherwise, I believe this is how you can to do it.

You'll have to get all the PCs connected to your router - wirelessly or by cable. Don't plug into the Internet/WAN port as your Internet-connected desktop needs to be networked to the other systems.

From there, you can try setting up Internet Connection Sharing on your desktop with the USB modem. Use Windows Help to find where it is on your OS.

Keep in mind this requires your desktop to always be on and always connected for others to use it too. Most people here haven't tried this setup, so best of luck. If you have XP, you might want to go to Comodo or someone else that makes a good software firewall, especially for the host system.

buy a windows xp home edition for 50 bucks and reformat

Better yet - install Linux. Its free, good for old hardware, good for Internet surfing, and less likely to pick up a virus is the process.

How long has the laptop been infected? After a few days you just can't trust to ever trust it to be truly 'clean' anymore - Reformat.

If you're sure its the power supply, replace it. I just tossed one that started making a high-pitched whine - my system would freeze randomly.

I think people either love it or hate it.

Indeed. A friend of mine gave me his copy since he hated it so much. I gave it right back 2 days later (same opinion).

The only time I have seen this be a major issue was with shoddy VNC software. It affected my system and I've seen it affect Nvidia drivers too.

You aren't likely to see any performance gains just from going to 7.

Keep the Core 2. There will always be deals when Diablo 3 comes out if you feel the need to upgrade then.
