Its basically a Linux distribution. So no, I can download Linux for free from multiple different sites. About the only way I would buy it is if it played all my Windows games just like Windows plays them.

RossRichard

Agreed.

so, i shouldn't do: device manager-->display adapters-->nvidea GeForce 8600GT-->driver-->uninstallagrippi

You can do that first if you want, I suppose. But the other steps are very important. Otherwise you'll still have leftover Nvidia files and utilities that will seriously impede the functionality of your new card.

Made by -> Nintendo

Which is in ->Japan

Therefore ->JRPG!

But why the defensiveness? There are far worse things to be like than Final Fantasy.

Well its rare but it does sometimes happen that dodgey CPU's get shipped by either AMD or Intel.

Daytona_178

Could be a dodgey motherboard as well.

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 6100 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM) namob

Based on this line, I'd guess you are not using a graphics driver from Nvidia. If thats true, go to Nvidia's website and download it.

Uninstall Nvidia Drivers from Add/Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista/7)

Download and run Driver Sweeper from Guru3D.com

Those should adequately cleanup your system for the ATI card.

I like Gparted. Download it, burn it to a CD, boot your PC from the CD. I know there are a couple partition utils that work within Windows, but I'm just tossing my preference out there.

I think its possible but only under these conditions:

1) You mean RAID1 - mirroring your existing drive

2) Your motherboard has an onboard RAID controller to do the mirroring

Totally worth the upgrade. Certain programs, like Antivirus, might need to be uninstalled beforehand. Windows 7 setup runs an upgrade advisor that will ask you to do so before the install proceeds. Otherwise all your programs and settings will remain intact.

My favorite ending is for FFVI, simply because it wraps up the storylines for all characters. This makes it seem more epic.

speculative

Plus the music and cutscenes were 16-bit cinematic gold. My favorite ending as well.
