I hope that all of you had a great New Year and a safe and careful one as well. Today went by fast to me, and cold and wendy here too. I stayed at home and watch the ball drop and got to see Dick Clark again. He still can't do much talking, but after what he has been through he is a very lucky man. He did pick with his co-host Brain, and he looked good I thought. For the past 2 years his wife has been with him and I'm glad that she was with him. I don't think that he will ever be the same after his stroke, but considering what all he has been through he did extremely well. It won't be the same if he can't be on there, but as long as he is able and can be there he will. I hope that all of you had a good time last night. Now that all the holiday's are over I guess it is time for all of us to get back to as normal as we can. I sure hope that 2008 will be better on tv.com than 2007 was. Maybe they will get the video update fix now, but I don't think so. It has been quiet a few months now and haven't even got it going. I don't expect to get it going. If they didn't get it fix by now chances are they probably won't. We just have to live with out it I guess. Nothing we can do about it. I miss not having it on here. But I guess we will have to unless a miracle happens, but don't see it any time soon. Oh well tht is life I guess. :) We just have to smile and bear it. :)

We have only 2 hours left in this year of 2007 and then it will be a brand new year. I hope tht all of you have a wonderful and safe Happy New Year. May all your dreams and hopes come true. Always follow your dreams. Never give up on any of your dreams. You can make them all come true if only you believe and have all the faith in the world. Always follow your heart and you will never go wrong in what you decide to do. :) We have each other and we have our dreams and we believe in miracles, and dreams and miracles do come true. :)

I'm staying at home tonight and do what i do every year. I will be here watching the ball fall from Timesquare in New York. I never miss a year watching Dick Clark's Rocking Eve, and I always watch it and I love to see Dick Clark every year. It would n't be the same without Dick Clark every year. I grew up watching him when he was on American Bandstand every Saturday morning. :) This is a short blog for tonight it's all about a Happy New Year to all of you and to all of our troops that are not at home and are over fighting for all us. It would be a happier New Year if all of them were at home with their families and friends. I support all the men and women in uniform. A toast to all the troops and their families and bless all of them.

It isn't long before we will be going into a New Year. Just two more days left in 2007. I hope that everyone has made there New Yeas's resolutions. I don't make them anymore cause for some reason I don't keep them so I just don't make them any more. I always sit up and watch the ball fall from timesquare drop and this year will not be an acception. When it falls and hits the new year I have a good friend that I call and have been for years and always wish her a Happy New Year. I dial in her number all but the last one and when the ball falls I call her. She is always sitting there waiting for my call, and when it is midnight I hit the last number and when she picks up the phone she knows who it is. This is a tradition that we have done for many years. :) I want to wish each and everyone of you a Happy New Year. My wish to all of my friends on TV.com is that you have peace, joy, laughter, hope, and most of all good health. Good health is the most important thing to me. My wish that I wish most is that all of our men and women who are fighting will be coming home soon. I guess you could say that will be my New Years biggest wish of them all.

We all can dance and bring in the new year like my hippo here. :D

Or maybe we could just all me lazy and relax and just do some swinging. :)

Hi everyone hope that each and everyone of you had a wonderful Christmas. Hope that Santa was good to all of you this year. :) We had a great Christmas this year. We had a house full. My husband's son and daughter was here together for the first time. His son and his girlfriend had the baby Timothy, which was the first time that we got to see him since he was born. He is 2 1/2 months old and weights about 10 lbs. He is strong in his legs. He actually pulls himself up and he holds his head up really well. He is a really good baby. They were here all day and I held him alot, then my dad's neighbor was up here, then my son Ronnie came in and then around 5 Jr's daughter and granddaughter came in. We really had a wonderful Christmas with both his children here, my son, and two of the grandchildren were here. The only one grandchild that was missing was Jr's grandson. He couldn't get off work to be here. I wish that he could have been able to be here. It would made Christmas complete but we saw some pics of him that his mom took. Maybe next year he will be able to be here. I sure hope so. I am going to put some of the pics that I took. The others that I took I took them with the other camera and I can't put them on here until I print them from the loading dock that I have and then I will scan them onto my computer and then I will be able to put them on here. I will do that as soon as I can, but for now I wanted to post these I have onto my blog so you can see how much he has growed. At least maybe you will be able to see these. They did turn out really good. I hope that you will like them. Feel free to stop by and post a comment on them. Of course on some of them my dog Hope had to get into the pics too. lol :D

I know that it has been awhile since I have been on here. Been having alot of things on my plate to deal with these days. Having health problems and other things that are not so good. I haven't been feeling well but I wanted to get on here to say hello and hope all of you are doing great. My computer is been acting up again as usual. :( You guys know how that is. Can not seems to get the computer going right. I am going to have the geek squad come out next Thursday and see what they can do to it. At least they make house calls. I had some more memory added but it didn't help. I have this thing that has been showing up on my computer from internet explorer that comes up saying that internet explorer has occured an error and needs to shut down. Sorry for the inconvience and I have to close it and then I have to go and relog in to my pages. It is getting out of hand. My husband bought me a dvd recorder/player one of my early Christmas presents and it will not play any of my dvd's or I can make a copy of my son's band that played last month. I don't know what is wrong with it. I got a dvd mini handycam camcorder for Christmas and that is what I told up to the place where my son's band played and recorded it and came in and it played fine on my regular dvd player but would not play on this one that I have on my computer. It is a mess. So maybe the geek squad when they come out next Thursday they can get it going. Something just isn't right with the whole thing and the man will not do anything about it. The one who put it in my computer said that it worked for him but I told him that if it worked for you then it should have worked for me. He isn't standing behind his work. He didn't use to be that way so I will do my business else where. Maybe they can get it going right. We will see. I sure hope that they will. :) I am tried of messing with this computer. Here is a pic of my son's band. This was taking at the show that they did on the 29th of last month. The one on the far right is my son. The name of the group is called Stella Kidd.

My son playing lead guitar. They did a really great job with their show. I hope you like them. The band is really doing good. They have been playing in different places for a while now. I'm so proud of each and every one of them. They have a cd out on ebay that you can purchase and T-shirts. I have been helping with the band as much as I can. I hope that TV.com will soon get the upload video fixed soon so I will be able to put one of there songs on here, but it don't look like they are ever going to get it up and running any time soon.

Well as usual the weekend flew by and now the week will just drag by. That is the way that it always has been every week and I guess it will be dragging by. It is also a very lazy day today. I guess the reason is that Thanksgiving had alot of food and we are just lazy from all the eating. :D It has been cold here today and very gloomy too. They say we may get some ice and snow, but I never believe the weatherman cause when he calls for it we never get any. The mountains keeps it off of us here. I would like to see some snow for Christmas so we could have a white Christmas. I don't remember the last time that we had any snow. It has been a very long time. The only way that we see any snow around here is on tv or go to the mountains. Our winter's here are not as cold as the ones that we had years ago. Maybe we will see some snow before to long here. But I believe it when I see it. This is how lazy I feel today. :)

14 CARROTS DREAM CAKE

2 cups flour

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

2 tsp baking powder

2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup walnuts

2 cups sugar

pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups oil

4 eggs

1 can of pineapple

2 cups carrots.

preheat oven, grease and flour pan.

Sift all dry ingredients together. Add sugar and oil to flour mixture. Add eggs, pineaple, nuts and carrots, mix well. Bake in preheated pan. Cool a few minutes in pan, turn out on wire racks.

OVEN TEMP~350 DEGREES BAKING TIME~35 TO 40 MIN. PAN TYPE~BUNDT PAN.

I HAVE A CREAM CHEESE ICING RECIPE ALSO:

CREAM CHEESE ICING RECIPE

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

1/2 cup butter

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar (adding 'til mixture is spreading consistency).

MAKES ENOUGH TO FROST A 9 X 13 CAKE

Well today is Friday and the weekend is apond us again, but as usual it doesn't last long. Hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and hope everyone had plenty to eat. Now I hope that you did overstuff yourself and gain to much weight Thursday. Now remember we have another holiday coming up with plenty of food and boy the pounds are going to add up. :D We will all have to go on a diet and not eat anything for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Well it don't come around but once a year. We are intitled to be able to stuff then. Jenny Craig look out. :D I'm not going to do a recipe for today cause I know that we all had plenty of food and deserts over Thanksgiving. I will do one later when we have all had a chance to digest everything that we ate over Thanksgiving. Oh well enough of the talk about food. I had my MRI done and I got a call from the doctor yesterday with the results. The good news is that I have had no new strokes in my head but I have to go back to see the nerologists on Dec. 12 to see him about the headaches that have gotten worst and the balance problem. I hope that they will soon find out what is causing the problem with my balance problems and headaches getting worst. We will just have to wait and see. I know that he will probably be doing more test on top of more test. I don't know what other kind of test that he can run on me.

It sure has really gotten cold here. I went to Wal Mart this morning to get a dvd camcorder and they didn't tell us that they didn't have but six of them and that they were sold out with in 5 minutes. I stayed up all night and was on the computer so I could get down there so I could get one. I was down there before 4:30AM, and I couldn't believe they were all gone. The people behind the counter gave them out before the time that they were suppose to and there were alot of people not happy campers, so when they told us that they were sold out unset people you wouldn't believe. So I left from back there and went to the movies and I did manage to get the movie Hairspray that came out on Tuesday. I hope that it will be as good as the other one that had Sonny Bono and Debra Harry in it. :)

Ok I hope that these little kitties made everyone's night. They did that cause they didn't like what they were being served for Thanksgiving dinner or supper.:D You got to love those kitties. :) I guess they all decided to have a little party of their own. :D On well that is the cat's life I guess. Well it' probably count down for a lot of little kids til Christmas. You know I just don't know where this year has gone. Not many more days left in the yr 2007, and it will soon be 2008. My my doesn't time fly when you are having fun. As we get older you know the yrs just fly by. :(

SorryI haven't been on here in awhile. I went to the doctor Friday and I had to go and have another MRI on my head Tuesday. The last MRI that I had in 2005 showed that I have had some mini strokes but I already knew that but he neglected to tell me that I had 3 dark spots on my cortex which is on the base of my brain. That is where all my headaches stay. But because my headaches are much worst and my balance is worst he decided that he wanted to do another MRI to see if there has been any changes since the last one. I got a phone call today with the results and the good news is that I have not had any new stokes which is good, :) but he wants to send me back to see my neurologists because of my headaches that are worst and of my balance problem that is worst. So I have an appointment on Dec. 12th at 3:45PM. I guess that he will probably give me more tests. I am so tried of test on this and tests on that. I really don't like this doctor cause he is so rude and not very nice. I tried to get in to see another one but because I have seen him I have to see him again. :( I was hoping that I could see another doctor but that is out, so I'm stuck seeing him. :(

I hope that everyone has been doing good here. I have missed all of my friends here. You know that all of you are family to me. You are the best friends anyone could ever ask for.

KENTUCKY JAM CAKE RECIPE

THIS CAKE IS VERY MOIST AND DELICIOUS. MIGHT WANT TO GO A LITTLE LIGHTER ON THE CARAMEL FROSTING.

1 3/4 cups flour

1/12 cups sugar

1 cup salad oil

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup blackberry jam

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 cup chopped nuts

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp allspice

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp cloves

1/2 tsp salt

3 eggs

CARAMEL FROSTING

1 stick butter

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1/3 cup cream

1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar

OVEN TEMP~350 DEGREES~BAKING TIME~35 TO 40 MIN.~PAN TYPE~TWO 9 ROUND PANS.

Mix all ingredients together and beat.Fill pans with cake batter and bake. Cool cake completely before Icing with caramel frosting.

FROSTING

Combine first 3 ingredients. Bring to boil for 2 minutes. Sift sugar and beat into mixture. Hope you enjoy this one. :)

I had a really good anniversary. My husband got be a journey necklace. It has 8 diamonds. I love it. It is so beautiful. He is always suprising me with things like this. He had gotten me to of the most beautiful cards. :) I had gotten him some clothes, and a new grill cause I know that he loves to cook outside. And I knew that he needed a new one. I also got him to beautiful cards. We had a wonderful anniversary. He wanted to take me out to supper but I said that I just wanted to spend the day just the two of us. He say in one of the cards that he wanted our anniversary to be special for the both of us. And it truly was a special day for us. Could not have been any better. :)

CHERRY PIE RECIPE

4 cups sweet cherries, pitted

1 cup sugar (1 1/4 cups for sour cherries)

1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

MAKE A DOUBLE 9 INCH PIE CRUST OR USE A BOXED PASTRY FOR A DOUBLE-CRUST 9-INCH PIE

Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Add the cherries and toss to coat. Place in pastry-lined pie pan. Cut the top crust into one inch strips. Lay half the strips across pie filling and the the other half going to opposite direction. Press strips onto sides bottom crust. Brush strips with milk and aprinkle with sugar. Bake at the recommended time.

TIP: PUT SUGAR, FLOUR AND CINNAMON IN A LARGE ZIP-LOC BAG. ADD THE CHERRIES AND TOSS TO COAT. THIS COATS THEM MORE EVEN THAN DOING IT IN A BOWL AND THE FILLING IS FIRMER.

OVEN TEMP~375 DEGREES, BAKING TEMP~50 MINUTES, PAN SIZE~9 INCH GL*SS PIE PLATE. SERVINGS~6 TO 8

Well as you all know tonight is the CMA awards tonight, and the Eagles is scheduled to preform. Can't wait. I like the Eages. I just got their new cd and it is a good cd. I have all of their music. They have been together since the 60's. They have some great songs out. I hope that you will watch the awards tonight and see them preform. :) I have been looking forward to seeing the awards since I found out they were going to be on. I was the awards every year any way.

I have 2 more days left not counting today before my wedding anniversary. I have to get out either today or tomorrow and get my husband something. We will be married 11 yrs. Does anyone out there who can help me in finding something that I could get him. I thought about a new big grill since he likes to cook alot outside. I need some help on this one. He likes to fish but he has everything on that department and don't need anything in that department. So if any one have any ideas let me know. I am open for suggestions. :) I could really use the help, don't have much time left here. (

HAM 'N APPLE BAGELS

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbs water

3 cinnamon raisin bagels,split

1 large tart cooking apple, cored, cut into 6 rings

6 ounces thinly slick cooked ham

6 ( 1-ounce ) slices Deli Reduced Fat American Cheese

Melt butter in 10-inch skillet. Stir in brown sugar cinnamon and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture just comes to a boil. (2 to 3 minutes). Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Dip cut-sides of bagel halves in brown sugar mixture. Place cut-sides up onto ungreased baking sheet; set aside.

Add aple rings to remaining brown sugar mixture. Cook over medium heat, turning once, until apple rings are tender. (2 to 2 minutes).

Heat broiler. Broil bagel halves 5 to 7 inches from heat until lightly toasted (1 to 2 minutes). Top each bagel half with 1 apple ring and 1-ounce sliced ham; return to broiler. Continue broiling until heated through (1 to 2 minutes). Top each with 1 slice cheese; return to broiler. Continue broiling until cheese is melted (1 to 2 minutes).

OVEN TEMP~BROIL 3 MINUTES SERVINGS~6 SANDWICHES.

PREPARE THESE CINNAMON GLAZED BAGELS STACKED WITH HAM, APPLE AND CHEESE JUST BEFORE SERVING.
