@dogpigfish: Ok.. Sorry sir, but no, just no. Please try driving a car at 140 mph and then come back and tell me how they control. If you try to steer too much at high speeds, guess what? Your car crashes. Just like the game. Run the car around corners at 45 mph in Forza and you'll find you have the same turning radius you would have in real life. Painfully so.
Seriously though--- enough with the f44king zombies, guys. Like, it's a big universe and there a million other antagonists you can come up with. Zombies are getting to be to gaming what World War II was to gaming a decade ago, or Guitar games were a half decade ago.
@sotech: What did you expect from Gears of War? Gears in Space? Gears MMO? Gears open world? Gears parkour? It was a Gears game through and through -- either you love 'em-- or you don't. But I don't see how a Gears fan would be turned off from it based on what was shown.
@T3H_1337_N1NJ4: Widowmakers fine. Everyone gets their panties in a wad whenever they get killed by a sniper. Everyone wants it to be upfront bunny-hopping crap.
@hystavito: They didn't say 4k60... The goals they're setting is current state + ~25-30% more geometry with FXAA/8x Aniso at 4k30. OR - at 1080p 60-120 for VR. Scorpeo is in a weird in-between period wherein they're going to be a bit underpowered for 4k, but sufficiently overpowered to do 1080p RIGHT --- with amazing visuals. But they won't, because resolution is clearly all that matters to marketing, so we'll get half-assed 4k visuals. 4k is the worst thing to happen to TVs since Heroes season 2.
@Phatnaru: What they OUGHT to do, is release the game on all platforms and give up this hardware nonsense. Gimmicky controller fads are over. VR is the next big thing and it'll end up becoming a standard. Port to Xbone/PS4/Scorpeo/Neo/PC. Sell 75 million copies in year one... profit. Why Nintendo board chooses to be a bunch of stubborn salarymen is astoundingly incomprehensible. Why leave so much money on the table?
