@kumar_eats_pie The delays were because half the dev team was gutted or quit. ANY time that happens on a project, it's vision is lost and the product is crap.
@kadaverhagga @6t4gp What 4 years from now? Polyphony is washed up. Their production cycle is abysmally slow and they lost the crown to Forza at Forza 2 and haven't picked it back up.
@unreal849 @vader501st IGN got to show it first with a special exclusive broadcast. I'm sure that played into a more favorable review. Quid Pro Quo and all that. You generally have to discard the top 10% of scores, the bottom 10% of scores and average the rest to get something realistic.
@vader501st Watch a video... The physics are terrible. They're not even good for an arcade racer. Totally lacking in that "fun" that Horizon 2 delivers in Spades. Offroad racing in that game, you barely feel in control of things, but you feel in control of your car. It strikes that perfect balance to achieve on-edge high-octane fun. And has a metric sh1t-ton more courses and cars. This has marginally (and I do mean marginally... they both use planar mobile quality speedtree assets) better post-processing. But the artistic direction in Forza is leagues better.
Please folks, can I give my "I told you so?". I believe, and I quote, I said "At most, a 5.8" or similar before any reviews were in. Sucks to be a Pony... here's your Holiday exclusive. LOL.
