Never cared for this series much; mainly due to being more frustrating than fun. For whatever reason, Capcom keeps pushing these games on everything since it's on just about every retro-console classic (NES, SNES, Genesis, TurboGrafx mini systems as well as the Switch online service...).
My issues were the motion controls mainly as they always had to be recalibrated and having to revisit areas over again to progress the story not to mention the repetitive 'imprisioned' fights. Other than that the dungeon designs were some of the best in the series...
Frankly, I'm surprised this franchise is still in business. They've been going downhill since the advent of downloadable games not to mention their shady business practices. I figured covid would have been the final nail in the coffin...
I'm sure one is in development but unlikely to release this year. The current version is still selling like hotcakes so they probably don't feel the need to release new hardware just yet. When they do, they'll have to have some good launch titles to go with it which take a long time to develop these days...
