My Gamer Score finally hit 10k after months of trying to pass the 10K barrier! Also weirdly I pasted it by one point and the same zip code as New York, New York! Maybe this means something.....hmmmmm or maybe i'm just bored and wanted an excuse to make a graphic.....hmmmmmm

Now I know games like Call of Duty 4 or Street Fighter can help you relieve stress because your shooting and punching guys in the face but I got to thinking why isn't there any games that help you relieve stress in a non-violent why? Every game I seem to play has something to do with violence, with a lot of reason behind the violence, most of the time you gotta kill bad people to save the world. When there is a game that doesn't have killing its usually very manic in nature, Katamari Damacy for example. The only game i've played that did make me just wanna chill out was Fl0W but even that doesn't have the kinda feel I've been looking for because your going around eating things.

The only game I can think of thats being released in the future that is a very calming game is one called Flower which there is no information about. Why can't one of the very artsy developers make a game where your sailing through the clouds very calmly, but if someone where to make a game like that it wouldn't be considered a game but a interactive screen saver I guess. It seems anytime, which is very few, a game has had no conflicts or fighting against something its been considered more of a toy or a puzzle game, though in tetris your fighting against your own choices. The other game I was hinting about was Electro Plankton for the DS, which was considered by many more of a gadget then a game, is a great example of what I'm talking about. I want a game where theres nothing to battle against, nothing to stab, nothing to punch, nothing to shoot, just something to help me be calm.

Many probably think why have calming games there so many other things that can help you relax, and they are totally right there are so many other ways to relax. Listening to music for example alot of the music I listen to is very calm and slow. Reading a book is another thing, but all I'm saying is many other forms of entertainment can help to relax why can't video games? I want video games to give me the same chill feeling I get when listening to a great downtempo track, and most importantly I want video games to not be considered toys but another form of art like Music and Movies.

Maybe this will never happen, but I feel that in order for games to stop being thought of as these horrible violent things it needs to happen. We need to get rid of the image of video game players being these 30 year old Leet speakers who play halo in their basement from the minds of many. I'm hoping in the future we see a flood of artistic games so people against video games like Jack Thompson and Hillary Clinton can't say that all video games are from the depths of hell. I'll just end with we all just need to relax, doesn't matter how you do it just get away from the violence and relax.

I've finally upgraded and bought myself a 20 inch wide LCD monitor and its great! the computer I got with it is a Aspire M1610 dont know if it can play games very well cause it has a intergrated sis card but i'm installing guild wars right now to check. Man i'm amazed with how big this screen is!!!

Today was my grandmothers, who I call gram, B-Day, so I decided to bake her a cake! It was from cake mix but it came out good considering it was the first cake I had made. I also made the first batch of cajin burgers that I will be improving later. Note to everyone more Cajin powder is always better! So my grams basically chilled all day :D Not very video game related but sorta cause THE CAKE ISNT A LIE!!! Ohhh also Cake is better then Pie!

Just like the title says I've been playing demos! Mainly cause my old games are getting boring and I dont feel in the mood to be crazy and try to get all 252 or so stars in Super Mario Galaxy!

This is probablly the most artistic game i've played since shadow of the colossus, saying this cause i've yet to play Okami or Ikaruga. The works pretty much how the lock on targeting in Star fox works which makes the game a little stale and repetitative since you cant shoot off rapid shots, though you can do a quick lock onto oneenemy but locking on again has a slight delay. This doesnt matter cause the visuals and Sound on this game are top notch. This game made a great first impression on me definnatly, mainly because I love games that have to do with music. Gonna buy this one just as soon as I get some moola!

Turok

I loved the hell out of the N64 Turoks.....well a few of them. The first was great and the one with the cerebral bore was great, don't remember the name of that one. This game feels nothing like the N64 Turoks but in a good way. One thing that did remain is all the crazy weapons and their cool secondary fires like the shotgun with dino luring flares and a crazy plasma rifle with a cool sticky grenade like thing. being knocked down by a Dino never gets boring and stabbing them over and over again in the face is fun as hell. One problem I had with the demo is it seems you could take 1000 hits from the Dinos without getting killed. At one point in the demo I was pinned in corner being attacked by 2 Raptors getting hit over and over again and yet I survived. Maybe this was the difficulty so i'll reserve my judgement till I buy the full game and then i'll crank up the difficulty.

Band of Bugs

This game has been out for a good while but I figured i'd try it out since I heard its a strategy game.....and not a very good one to me. No idea what this got on gamespot but man it just feels....wrong. When you attack another bug you dont feel it at all, not talking about just vibration but just the impact of the hit. I know my strategy rpgs to cause i've played FFT, FFTA, Disgaea 1 and 2, Soul Nomad and the world eaters, Makai Kingdom and Phathom brave! And plus the charcter models dont look pretty. If your gonna do 3d models on a 3d plans on a strategy game you gotta do them right. I believe that 2d sprites on a 3d plane is the only way to go with strategy games. Maybe I judged the game to quick but.....w/e I got plenty of other SRpgs to play.

I usually like to relay the news through my blog here but man its been slow the past few days. On all the blogs I read everyday, over the past few days they've had 5 post a day! That is to damn slow for news. Its so slow Kotaku is showing off old ads like a Earthworm Jim commercial and A Defender Flyer. Not saying that they shouldn't cause they have all the reason to because the news is s-l-o-w! Ohhh there was one thing that interested me in the news.

Turok Grabbag Acheivement patched out

If you didnt hear, like me, there was an Achievement in the upcoming Turok that Had you kill One creature, One teammate, One enemy and yourself, And if you didnt many players, avoiding using gaming, freaked the hell out. So of course.....well not of course cause many developers don't care, the developers will be patching out the achievement. Personally I think that everyone is a bunch of babies seriously. Accidents happen, you could just make your team kill seem like an accident and say "ohhh my bad dude" over the voice chat. Throw a grenade while your teammate is shooting an opponent and hope for the best....the best being you teammate dieing. Also another thing Achievements are not that big of a thing to worry about! I get achievements because they are fun not for the points and I know the majority of people who play games are doing it for the points. But its changed now and I could care less, not because Turok seems bad but because me no care about achievements.

This one came out of something weird actually. I took a picture that my ex girlfriend took of herself and a friend waving glowsticks in the dark, and edited the crap out of it and got this. Look up any picture of someone waving around glowsticks in the dark and you'll see how unlike it looks like this picture. Ohhh also I didnt mention most of my wallpapers are on the abstract side of things.
