Didn't Sony announce that they were going to split the Playstation division from the actual Sony company? I thought I read something like that. Doing so, will definitely help with profits.
@gilldominic @Atragon Actually yes, that would be a great idea. A lot of people do not have the internet, and by releasing physical copies of the game, it will generate more sales for that company. Look at Minecraft, it did very well by going physical.
@nurnberg You are exactly right. There will be people giving a bad rep, just to do it. I know people that would flag someone for not talking, or not having a mic. Unless each individual multiplayer game (and by that I mean each match) is going to be monitored to make sure the ratings are legitimate, this WILL NOT work.
@nurnberg You're exactly right. You will have those ones that ill do it, just to do it. I know people that would flag people because they didn't talk, or have a mic. A reputation system is a useless idea. This is not going to work by any means. I know they are attempting, but it's going to back fire. There will be too many complaints about the system. Unless EVERY game (and by that i mean, each individual multiplayer match being played) is going to be monitored to make sure these user accounts are being flagged for legitimate reasons, it WILL NOT work.
@gilldominic @clynch0527 if your disc gets damaged, you don't deserve to own the console. You pay $60 for a disc, you better take care of it. And yes, I never had a disc get damaged. Why, because I place value on my possessions. I don't let anyone touch anything of mine with a high value unless I know they take just as much care of their stuff.
Maybe people also forgot the fact that games can be pulled off the servers if hosted digitally. It would be a shame for you to pay $60 for a game, play it, and delete it to save room for another game, and then due to the game being so old and possibly not selling, they just happen to pull it. $60 for nothing.
Unless media was better priced, the ONLY advantage it has is it looks cleaner and more organized. Sure if you travel, you have ALL your games with you, but are you really going to play ALL of them where you're going? No. You will only end up playing maybe 3 or 4. 6 at the most. Personally, I love having my shelf full of physical media, be it movies, games, or music. Someone walks into your house, you get the reaction, "Oh you must be really into this!" or "Damn, you must be rich to afford all this!". They walk into a room with just a box there, they are thinking. "Damn, you invite me over to play games, but you don't have anything!" Not to mention, physical media has the BIGGEST jump over digital media, solely due to the fact you don't have to wait for the entire game to download to play it. That is where physical media will always prevail. And yes we have cloud gaming, but hey, there are a lot of things that can prevent you from playing those games. Slow connection to no connection.
@blue_shift_91 who knows. i stated in an earlier comment, that it seems like this has become a "who has more features" war. and i hate that. both the consoles are near similiar in terms of power, they are going to keep adding features to the consoles to the point we arent going to know how to start a game because we will see all these other features before the game disc icon.
@S_tephe_N @clynch0527 @anigmha @HonorOfGod i was dating this one girl, and got blowjobs while i waited..but then i remembered where im commenting. not many have that luxury.
