I didn't have cable for about two years. I was living in a place with cheap, super fast internet and good antenna reception, so I didn't need it. I recently got cable back when I moved.

The History Channel used to be one of the few places I could turn for intelligent programming. What the hell happened? They changed their slogan to "history made every day." They seem to play non-stop lowest common denominator reality shows about truckers, loggers, and pawn shops to the point where I'd swear I was watching TLC. Their only other programming now seems to consist of UFO conspiracy theorists talking about how aliens built the pyramids using tractor beams or something. What does this have to do with history, and why has a formerly intelligent channel gotten so dumb?

Tell me about Far Cry 2. I know a lot of people hate it, but it has decent reviews. Is it worth a buy?

FarCry 2 is one of the worst games I've ever played. It's not quite Big Rigs or Stalin vs Martians bad, but it's not far off. If reviewers hadn't been handed a big wad of cash by Ubisoft, it would have gotten 4s and 5s across the board.

Crytek had absolutely nothing to do with it, and it shares nothing with FarCry or Crysis other than the name.

Red Alert 3 is awful. Get Command and Conquer 3 if you don't already have it.

What's the stalker mod that makes the weapons more powerful? I bought the first one before but the guns were so weak i wasnt able to talk myself into continuing it

Complete mod. Stalker is a horrible game. People need to stop recommending it.

Blood Money is an awesome game. It's basically an assassination simulator, and the assassinations can play out many different ways depending on how you play. Very fun and totally worth $2.
