Nobody uses cursive. I had high school teachers and college professors go out of their way to tell us not to write in cursive or our essays would get thrown in the trash. No one can read it, it serves no purpose, and it just needs to be phased out of existence.

I went to a magnet school where people were mostly just concerned with getting into college. There wasn't much drama. People didn't really give a crap about the school. No one went to pep rallies or football games. They mostly just went to class and went home.

Well what comedies do you like? Curb Your Enthusiasm? It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?
TacticalDesire
Californication, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, South Park, Weeds
Californication...that show's most redeeming quality is the perfect breasts that show up in every episode. I have never laughed while watching it though, or even been interested in the script.
Have you seen the girl they have on there this season? Absolutely amazing rack. Susan Sarandon's daughter too.
The show is hilarious and it has breasts. What more could you ask for?

I don't think it will surive another season after he's gone. I see it getting cancelled.
NBC needs to scrap their whole comedy lineup anyway, except for Community. It ranges from mediocre to dreadful. Outsourced might be the worst show since Cavemen.

I don't pay $60 for games. I'm fine waiting for a Steam weekend deal, or just holding out until the end of the year and picking up a bunch of games for next to nothing during the holiday sales. I have such a back catalogue of games that there's no rush to buy anything on day one. I wouldn't pay $60 for Dead Space 2, and I probably wouldn't even pay $40 for it. Why would I when I know it will be under $20 by the end of the year?

BFBC2 is the only game I'm aware of that takes advantage of a quad core, and that's only because it's a poorly optimized console port that does a lot of stuff with physics, but strangely doesn't use nvidia physx. Even BFBC2 runs fine if your dual core is fast enough. I have my E6600 overclocked to 3.0ghz and the game runs fine for me on high settings at 1680x1050.He should get a GTX 460 or 560Ti, 2GB more of ram, and overclock his CPU to 3ghz or above. If does those things he'll be good to go in modern games, especially at that low resolution.

I agree with this. Even my dual-core can handle BFBC2 easily & I have yet to find a game I cannot play smoothly.
Ok, dual core is fine then. Lets ignore the fact that it is possible to buy one these days for $100. Quad cores are the way of the future, and the future is very near. Nvidia physx is bs and is not relevant here. Dual cores are on their way out.
The economy is bad and people aren't exactly rolling in money these days. The OP said he had $400 and I'm trying to get him the best bang for buck.
Of course if he were building a new PC he should go for a quad core. But that's not what this thread is about. It's about getting an older PC up to par for a cheap price.
