honestly, you act like its the end of the world. cmon, its technology! theyre constantly devising, creating, and solving new ways to make things. something new will eventually be invented to replace dvd or any problems with dvd storage. besides, as it is now, dvds are still selling way more popular than bluray discs are. MGS4 is not the standard at this moment - it is the exception! so, to you, i say dont even worry about it right now. if games ever have the need to ALWAYS be that large, im sure microsoft will think of something

ok so we all know hd dvd is dead, like it or not, and xbox currently doesnt support bluray, i dont thinkn microsoft will buckle to a sony inovation either. so how will microsoft remain competative not now, but in the future when games get too large for a dual layer dvd? mgs 4 is so massive it uses the dual layer feature on bluray! i love microsoft, and i will buy a 360 very soon. but what i want to know is, if there is a way besides making 3 4 or even 5 disks for a game. at the moment most companies that do multi system dont even use the space on blue ray, ea normaly tops out at 12 or 14 gbs on ps3 games, at most, its not worth the effort when you can just use the data they use on 360 and in some cases wii. not efficient. plain and simple, why spend months programing more than tripple the data to make use of bluray....
well anyway, im a little worried personaly about games in the future if microsoft doesnt have a way to adapt, and unless there is a early release of the 720 that i have read they have been working on, or started recently.
what can be done? this is not a ps3 vs 360 debate! this is a discusion about the future of microsoft, so please people, keep it peaceful!
what is microsofts ace in the hole!
