Sorry I have to blog about this 3 times in a row but it seems kind of important.

So an update on my previous Snake Wars tournament, I was able to reschedule but I was pwned in the round...

This week I entered in the Medieval II tournament. For the first round, my opponent didn't show up so I advanced by default.

In the next round though I played a guy as England (I normally play as the Mongols but the 8 calvary limit put an end to that) ...and he was like Poland or something like that. I had the smart idea of deploying 80% infantry, with only 4 units of spearmen...and he deployed maximum calvary...I bet you can see where this is headed. So England was crushed...the calvary was too much and he killed 800 of my men while I only killed 400 of his...it was phailure

So now you see how badly I lost...I will see if I can post a replay of the battle but I'm not sure if I can...

As for updates on my profile, I posted another high quality review..at least I think it is...the paragraphs got messed up though and i'm still trying to fix them

I will also try to think of better things to blog about...I know my recent ones have been pretty boring..

I flip my quarter and advance to the quarterfinals! :o...I am completely shocked. I advance through to the next round of the Snake Wars tournament. I got second place in my round. How did I do it?...only one other person showed up lol. So since it was top three from each round I advanced automatically! YAA! We were supposed to play four maps but the other guy left after taking the lead so I wasn't able to regain the lead lol...anyways...

So my next match is going to be tomorrow at 1:00pm pacific time which is 3:00 pm my time...the only problem is that i will be at school......so unless I can get rescheduled I won't even be able to enter the match until like 30-40 minutes after its begun...which means it will probably be over...So now I'm gonna see if I can be switched..If not then well I got lucky to advance anyways so its not like I lose anything.

so I'm off to see if I can get rescheduled! Goodbye!

Yup, I am joining the Snake Wars tournament for Gamespot. This will be my second tournament I participate in at Gamespot. The game this time is Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. I doubt I will do very well and will be completely suprised if I advance to the second round. I am atcually worried about how embarrasing it will be because really I suck at portable games...especially portable shooters. Well still the prize money is worth it. Maybe I'll get lucky (probably not) and score some big  money or maybe I'll just lose like last time...but this time more miserably.

So I'll be sure to keep you guys updated. The preliminary rounds begin on Monday in which I will face off against 5 others. Top three in the match move on. Wish me luck. Until the next round! goodbye.

I finally figured out that we have to register online in order to make an account:o..so now my account is up and i have a silver membership right now. im gonna upgrade it to gold some time...I also lost all my achievement points from my regular account...So now I have to redo all of the GRAW missions and COD3 missions...makes me pissed:evil:. On a side note...my first real, high quality review is up. I am reforming the way I review games and this is the first product of my reform. The review is of the longest journey. If some of you older friends remember I made a blog praising it a long time ago. Here it is.

So today I go a friend's house and along with another friend there we play some Gears of War. Unlike most, I was never really anticipated GOW because I never really saw anything new or exciting in it. But today I got my chance to try it. This is my first time playing the game and we play for a good 5 hours straight. I had to leave early so we couldn't beat the 10 hour mark :P.

So right when I start playing I know how to play instantly. The learning curve is very easy as it took me only three minutes to become well acquainted with the controls. I was very impressed with how fast I could pick up and play. I played the first level co-op with one friend to get used to the controls and then all three of us went to multiplayer (we had two 360s).

Sadly the multiplayer only has 4 vs. 4 which is kind of a turn off for me since I prefer the epic 32 vs. 32 type battles on the PC. While playing I found that I suck pretty badly except... WHEN I REV UP THE CHAINSAW!! HOO-AH! The kills with the chainsaw were quite satisfying and I became quite good at taunting and killing with the chainsaw. I was also impressed with how depending on where you chainsaw a guy, the guy will be cut at the point of incision.The game did a great job of giving me an adrenaline rush and making me yell whenever there was a close encounter came and I came out victorious. Another thing I noticed was a limited map selection. There didn't seem to be all that many maps and all the maps that we played seemed to be kind of the same and boring format. Gridlock and some other one where a team was on top of a castle place and another team on the bottom were the only ones I really liked.

So in all the game seems interesting enough. If I review it I have a feeling that I won't be giving it a 9.6 though. It seems to concentrate on the action a bunch and there is a ton of gore...almost too much. I was planning to get this game anyways to play with my friends but I don't know when because I am a frugal spender. [UPDATE - Greg K Leaving Gamespot] Well the next time came quite quickly as I have just learned that Grek Kassavin is leaving gamespot in pursuit of a game developer career. This is truly a sad momen in gamespot history. I personally enjoyed Greg's video reviews and liked the way he reviewed games. It is going to be hard to imagine what gamespot will be like without him. Its just soo sad :cry:...

I hope everybody had an awsome christmas. For starters Ill tell u guys what I did for Christmas.

Me and my cousin went old school and played NFL Blitz for the n64. We tried to get to the superbowl after party but failed. We made it to the superbowl and won, but it seems we didnt do good enough to get this 90% thing it took to get to the superbowl after party :( o well.

Next I watched this 1959 movie which I forgot the name of. It was really funny. It was about a submarine and thier crew in World War Two who had to pick up like 7 stranded nurses. And you can see what troubles that will lead to. It was very entertaining and I would recommend it but I forgot the name.

Ok now for what I got (please note that I have a huge family...):

Xbox 360 - yup I finally got one. My mom was able to get a premium system for only $300.

GRAW - Ive always been a fan of the Ghost recon series, and it seems that the developers really outdid them selves this time and I hope to enjoy it a lot

Call of Duty 3 - Im a huge fan of CoD(only for the pc) but  Cod 2 was kinda boring and I am expecting the same from this game. But hopefully this will not be so.

Wired Xbox 360 Controller - this was a necessity for me and my friends. And its great that its wired...wired is the way to go

Ps2 - yaaa my cousin who played blitz with me is giving me his and a bunch of games for it...i havent recieved it yet though

some shirts,a tie, a movie and a book. o and like 200 dollars

i missed the amazon.com 100 dollar 360 deal cuz my internet slowed down right when it happened....dammit....so im pretty pissed right now...anyone else get the amazon 360?

its good to finally be on break. i can finally have some time to work on some school projects, relax, and get some developer for a day contest work done

expect another  video comming out by me n my friends again. u know we were looking back on the Heroes one and we were like dam... we have to do this again. i think were gonna be doing a machinima with splinter cell double agent. look foward to it! ill be sure to make u laugh once or twice.
