You cannot justify 1 billion plus dollars in security if things are peaceful. The people smashing stuff are part of the security.

It's a bunch of Che Guevera t-shirt wearing, dreadlocked, hipsters thinking that their making a difference. I'm actually feeling the urge to drop out of university just because I'm sick of being surrounded by these people's baseless and inane views. The protest crap doesn't surprise me, and the reasons even more. It seems that people protest these summits because "being wealthy is evil."

I gotta say, when I first saw the footage it reminded me of V for Vendetta when all the people are wearing those ceramic masks. I don't know why these people think they can make a difference...the police have riot shields and tasers...
