I am not at all like your friend. I hardly even play games, or do anything too "dorky." I am not that different of a person, contrary to popular belief.Dude, my friend has Aspergers, its hard as he hardly ever leaves the house. I really want to do things with him but all he wants to do is stay in a play video games. But he is a funny and cool guy so I'm trying my hardest to get him to go outside.

Is this disorder similar to Sheldon on the TV Show Big Bang Theory :PNerubianWeaverNo....lol. Contrary to popular belief, I am actually pretty normal. I just have weird mannerisms, along with REALLY bad ADD/very spacey. I still have a 3.1 GPA, though.
[QUOTE="cool_guy543"][QUOTE="Raging_Melody"]How do you make friends with people who do not share the same interest as you?Raging_MelodyWhat do you mean by "not the same interests?" Typically, everyone has SOME things they share in common. I have had interest in things people my age would not have interest in normally. Like what?
My mum's cousin was labeled as being stupid in school but he really had dyslexia. It was a setback that shouldn't have happened, but he's still managed to do well for himself. The best thing you can do is not to give up. Make sure that people know that you have aspergers. Though even if you didn't, there'd still be no excuse for them acting as you described. But the best thing to do is as GHlegend said, see a professional. Your school should have facilities to help you. If they don't then that's a pretty shoddy operation they're running.EJ902Yeah, but to be honest, I really just want to live a normal life like everyone else. I don't want to be pegged as a "disorder" kid, as they are usually frowned upon by society. :(
