We play Rainbow Six Vegas and Battlefield: Midway online. Never hear anyone on the game unless we send a chat invite to a friend. There must be something that you have to do to hear the other players? Is it in your preferences or options?

Yea Have you ever looked at the back of a rental CD? Now that is scratched. I think dirt and finger marks are worse for effecting playing than light scratches. Fingerprints and dirt can cause all kinds of playing problems but most commonly frame freeze during games. It pays to "Keep it Clean"

Obviously it is great fun to communicate with other players during games online and at this point since I don't have alot of friends I often find myself in a situation playing with people I never played with before. By the time you go through the processs of making friends and setting up a chat, often the game has started.

What is the easiest ways to start a chat or communicate with someone while you are playing a game on XBox Live? Do you have to invite someone to chat or join a party to communicate? The other night a "friend" started chatting with me during a game without ever asking me to join a chat. How'd he do that? Do you have to be friends to chat or is there a way to chat with others on the same game without going through that process?

All Amazon games are listed as New, or used: Like New, Good Condition, Fair and usually have some detail explaining why they are in a particular category. I have purchased from Amazon directly and from other sellers with good reps. Never-so far- had a problem with a game being in worse condition than described.

I've really enjoyed Rainbow Six Vegas. I like the team control aspects. I also enjoy having some 3rd person views when you take cover.

I was also a fan of Desert Storm II: Back to Bagdad. For an older game it really has alot of things going for it. It is more of a 3rd person shooter though.

We are XBox newbies having just made the move from our outdated Game Cube system. We have been playing Battlefield: Midway and Rainbow Six Vegas and have had a periodic problem with game freeze. The image just stops and there seems to be nothing to do about it except turn off and restart the XBox. At first it only happened with Midway online. In the middle of the game it would just freeze and we figured it was happening to everyone on that game. The other night it happened while we were going through the process of joining an Rainbow Six Vegas match-everytime we got to this particular load it would freeze. Again we thought it was an online thing. Then last night for the first time it happened while playing Rainbow Six on our XBox (not playing online but at the time we were signed in).We never ran into game freeze with Game Cube.

So my question is "Do we have a problem with our consule or is this a normal occurance?" Is there anything we can do to avoid it and if it happens is the only thing you can do is restart the consule?

Thanks.

P.S. We did get the no questions ask replacement warrenty at Best Buy.

When signing in to play Rainbow six there are all kinds of symbols (mostly dots) that are next to your name as you set up the game players. One is a dot to the right of your rank which can be yellow or red and then there is the "pings" which can be green or yellow and up to three and can change during the process of getting the players together. What do these dots mean?

I made the mistake of putting in my son's age when opening up an XBox live account and now he cannot access EA sports Burnout 3 and Need for Speed Carbon since you have to be 13 to get in (and he isn't). As his father I have no problem with him playing these games. I've been through it with Microsoft and they won't change the account or give us a different one. Is there anyway to deal with EA sports directly?
