Well I have completed the first Island, seemed easyish but not to easy, not sure if that makes sense.

I have 4 stars for Strength and 3 stars for agility and Guns so these are starting to get fun but progress is now slow, very slow.

Driving is only on the first start but that is because it is far more fun to jump from roof tops LOL

Explosives again is 1 star but working on that one.

All in all I am havinf a great time, in fact although the game is flawed I would still say that this is the best game I have played since getting my 360, it is just out and out fun

Managed to sneak in a short 30 minute stint on Crackdown and I am amazed it is so much better than the excellent demo.  The demo was odd in the fact that it was good, they are normally such poor offering that they nearly put you off playing the full game.

Not even looked at a mission as yet, but this the most freedom I have seen in a free roamer.

One niggle and only a minor one, is that you cannot enter buildings.  But I get that that would have taken to long to achieve

Sony Say that the European PS3 will not be as backwardly compatible as the Japanese and US models due to a change in the hardware configuration.

So what do I think, what do I think;

1. We get screwed into paying far more that the US and Japan.

2. We get delayed on the actual release dates

3. We get a physically different architecture to the US/ Japanese models, is this not a risk

4. Does this new architecture change the actual specification, if it does I bet it is for the worse

5. We are not considered important enough to have the same level of backwards compatiblity as the US/*** reagions

You know the more I read the less impressed I get. 

1. There are more articles stating that the machine is at best equal to the 360 and in most cases performs less graphically. 

2. It costs an arm and a leg to buy.

3. It is physically massive

About the only good think I have concistently heard is that is doesn't over heat, whow that is impressive

Well after being recommended this by Roy with such enthusiasm I had no choice but to invest in Crackdown.

Managed to pick a copy up from a local store so from about 9pm I will be the Law and you know that the Law won LOL

Any besides I need a break from FEAR so that when I do try it again that tricky level will seem easier.

I have done it yet again, come out of a fire fight with 50ish health, no more health pack and my  next task is an armoured soldier, Doh

The problem is the save point auto saves, you can't go back to the previous one and try for a better status before saving :( That said I don't know of any games that do but with FEAR that would be a nice to have.

Well I am probably going to spend the next couple of gaming hours wishing for a miracle that will eventually come (I hope) but that is going to be tomorrow, had enough for one night

I am stuck with a lot of work crap, preping for another London visit tomorrow so not  lot of time for games at the minute.

Friday in theory I was supposed to be off at our companies quarterly meeting but being an antisocial for I have managed to get out of it, so provided I can pick up a copy of Crackdown A good chunk of Friday evening will be taken up mostly killing things, running things over and when that get boring maybe a little Par Core (never sure how that is spelt, it being French and all) across the roof tops.

Planned to have a 360 evening mainly FEAR of cause, I want to try and get as far as possible before Crackdown comes out on Friday because I think that it will get shelved in favour of the new game and never touched agaian, not because it is not very good but because that is what I always do and it is to good a game to suffer that kind of fate.

Any way the plan failed, we had friend come over and I suffered the fate of being stuck with a male that doesn't like video games, instead wanted to talk football, yawn. I could have taken it if it had been rugby but football (soccer for those state side). He was although a nice chap the most boring of people and no matter how I tried could not get him interested in gaming or even that other trusted way to get the 360 turned on the HD demonstration LOL

I have heard it said that we gamers don't have a life, but have these accusers ever spent the evening with a footie fan? one that does not play but chooses to watch every, and I mean every match he can on the TV, sad, so very sad.  I mean they kick a ball it then either goes into the net or it doesn't how do you manage to talk to someone for 3 hours about that especially when they are desperately projecting gross boredom straight back at them. I can fake footie talk for an hour but 3, I wanted one of those FPS moments to de stress.

Played a little FEAR, got stuck more because I am being impatient than anything else and rushing to much.

So any way I decide to have a go at Geometry Wars Evolved, love the game but have never ever been any good.  My top score has been a very poor 84k but today I did it, I got my first achievement by breaking the 100k mark then spoilt it slightly by getting so excited I died but I don't care I DID IT, I DID only took 5 months to LOL

I did a nice log post about how much I enjoy the Wii download content as it allowed me to play the games I could not afford as a kid, and how crap the 'Everyone Votes' channel is.

Then I mentioned how level 5 of FEAR is noticably harder than level 4.

But is suddenly disappeared, why we no not, so if this seems a little rush and short apologies but could not be bothered to rewrite it fully.

I have seen it all today.

In FEAR I got a new acheivement points value of zero, this is unusual in it's own right, but it is called 'Suicide King' and I won it for killing my self 5 times in game LOL

Yeah, game player extradinare.

There also appears to be 2 more 0 point acheivements, I wonder how crap I need to be to win them LOL
