Ok so I read a Navy SEALS workout schedule to prepare for training and it said you should do a forced march with a rucksack with 1/4 you're body weight and at the bottom it says u could also use a backpack with that much weights in it. So I tried it out today for about a mile and WOWWW was it draining. very challenging workout.
Anyways, my question is. when i do this my back is kind of leaning forewards because of all the weight and my posture isnt straight, but then I dont know if it even should be, theres a lot fo weight in that bag. I Just want to know if this can be harmful to my posture or my back...
...and please only people who know for sure respond...
How much weight is in the bag? I honestly wear a 15-25 lbs backpack everyday for school and my posture has a slight "curvature" to it due to the heavy load I'm always carrying. But I've kinda fixed it by sitting up straight and walking with my shoulder back and back straight. But to answer your question, no it is NOT good for your back. And if you're trying to train for the SEALs, I suggest lifing A LOT of weights and swimming A LOT. IMHO, you don't need to do ruck sack marches, just go for long runs (at a fast pace if you feel so inclined).Well I mean, for a snack. I'm not going to eat 1000 pretzels in one sitting, but I could probably eat a good amount.eating a lot of anything will make you fat :|

I like pretzels (actually, pretzels and popcorn are my two favorite snack foods), but I don't want to get fat. Also, what about popcorn?
And the only reason I ask here is because I don't know how to read the labels and guage how much fat is actually enterting my body or unhealthy something is for me. Hopefully someone on he GS OT Forums is smarter than me.
No, it's just the people on here. And the US military uses the metric system.I didn't realise Americans don't like being called yanks, when did this happen?
