finished season 1 of Rome

finally finished season one of ROme and i cant believe i hadn't seen this before now. i loved this show.:D

cannot find the new epp of the wire anywhere...cant wait to see it.

new epp of Weeds was fantastic.

Rome

i have recently aquired the first season of Rome, the HBO series, and have watched the first few episodes. so far it is fun to watch because i just got out of a history course that we learned about the Roman Empire. Although for some reason all the sex and sex related humor was left out of the course.

Wednesday

not too much viewing of the TV for me tonight. i did watch the new episode of Weeds though. It was funny, but not one of the best epps by far. Kind of boring, but Andy continues to be the biggest laugh maker on the shoe for me. His facial expressions during the "love" scene were priceless, and his panic attack in the begining of the show was great also.

i caught tonights episode of Two-A-Days on MTV. it was their homecoming week and they blew out the other team i think 35-7 or something. i'm not sure why i watch this show. it reminds me of a second rate spinoff of Friday Night Lights the movie. I loved the movie, but seeing it on MTV just isn't as appealing as i thought it would be. i am anticipating Friday Night Lights the show though, but that is probably due to the fact that i grew up like ten minutes away from the school/town that is being filmed in.

The Wire - 401 - Boys of Summer

Finally...I have long awaited the return of The Wire, and it was everything I was hoping for. The season premiere pretty much caught us up on what everyone has been doing.

McNulty is now a patrolmen in the Western District, where Daniels is now the major of the district; and badly needs/wants McNulty to come out the patrol car and be a detective for them. I think McNulty eventually will give in, but it sounds like he is finally putting his life together again with his ex-wife and kids, so getting him "out of the patrol car" will take an extreme situation. Lester and Kemah, with a new major, are still doing the detail work that made/make the show what it is...i mean 'The Wire' refers to the wire taps the detail gets up on. Herc is now a personal body guard to the mayor, and Carter is still "busting heads" as a D.E.U. agent. Carter does have a new partner, who is being taught the ins and outs of the game by Carter. Prez is out of the blue uniform and into the classroom. He is a teacher at a middle school that is less than perfect.

Barksdale is in prison, thus leaving the streets open for Marlow, who quickly takes charge and puts his package on streets of "Body-More". We see the remains of Barksdale operation: Bodie still on the block is disgusted by having to lay down to the Marlow crew who took all of the prime real estate. Slim is seen riding around, with a driver, therefore letting us know that if not on top, of the stagnent Barksdale operation, he is close to it.

Marlow's two "hitmen" Snoop and Chris are ruthless. This duo is going to be great to watch. The unemotional and diligent work they are portrayed doing is priceless. They are easily the best doers of "dirty deeds" this show has seen, with a close second being the "bow tie wearin' m**ha f**ker".

Carcetti is in the run for mayor, but is quickly finding out that he hasn't a chance to win since he is white in a black city. He is doomed for failure even with an African-American running mate.

It's been awhile...

alright for all those wondering(lol) my wedding was great and i had a fantastic time on my honeymoon. we took a carnival cruise to mexico (cozumel and calica). not as fun as the first cruise i went on (bahamas and u.s. virgin islands) but i still had a great time.

allright, so two weekends ago (Sept. 9) Texas was beaten by Ohio St. in NCAA football. Although i am sad to see my HORNS get beat, i am comforted in the fact that McCoy is an extremely young QB. Texas easily ran over RICE, but that was more than expected. Rice is a baseball school that has never been a strong football program. I loved seeing Notre Dame get beat this past weekend too. alot of games came down to the wire, especially the Oregon game, good game guys, way to play untill the end of the game.

OMG best weekend ever!!!

Alright, so i am getting married on Saturday. yippee or something....whatever. this weekend though me and my closest friends took a trip up to Indiana's Belterra Casino and Resort. Great saturday for golf, shot a 43 on the front nine with a birdie and two pars, but then by the 14 hole we had drank about 12 a piece so teh scorecard became a lesser priortity so i have no clue what my total score was. after golf and a shower, we headed out to Cincinatti, OH, via stretch limo, to hit up the clubs. short detour to Racers ("bar with clothless female bartenders" near KY motor speedway), and then we were off to Red Cheetah night club. i had a great time. now i am looking forward to the reception and the honeymoon, where we plan on going on a cruise to cozumel. GREAT TIMES!

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: I am so glad NCAA football kicked off this weekend, and was even more thrilled to see TEXAS blowout n.texas with McCoy taking the snaps. HOOK 'EM HORNS! unfortunately next saturday's game against ohio st. is at 8p and my wedding is at 6p. hopefully we will have a tv out at the ranch we are having the ceremony at. Although i am more of a UK fan than a louisville fan, i was dissappointed to see M. BUSH go down with a broken leg and declared out for the season. even without their heisman hopeful, louisville was still able to cover the spread, which really pissed me off since i had UK and the points. Alot of blowouts this weekend, but that wasnt a surprise.

nothing happening...

i had to work late tonight so i am not going to do alot on the site tonight...just wanted to make a blog post to say that i am not going to do anything...lol
