I just grabbed Grandia from PSN for my PSP and started my first run. About an hour in, I'm doing well, but I don't quite understand how the battle-system works (meter in the corner, etc.).

Just wondering if someone could clear up the peculiarities of the system for me before I get too deep into the game.

Definitely agree with you. At first, running around really bothered me, but having gained so much in gold and experience from the fights along the way have made me grow to appreciate it.

When I find myself lacking good new games, I take advantage of the hiatus by grabbing some inexpensive titles from months and years past. Between 360, Wii, XBOX,PSP, DS, PS2, PS1, and GBA, I still haven't ran out of stuff to play.

I'm definitely a fan of remakes. Especially enhanced handheld ports.

I feel like the Gamespot score is perfect for the game. Despite the flaws within the game, I feel that the pawn system is fantastic and revolutionary, and vast array of quests, gear, and class customization opportunities make the game a quality RPG.

Loving Dragons Dogma, haven't played Mass Effect 3, so obviously I say go with Dragons Dogma.

It is a little tedious. However, I think it makes the game world feel more explorable and rewarding.
