I highly suggest you pick up Call of Duty: World At War or Call of Duty 4 they are both the very best when it comes to FPS's. Xcaliber26

which one? i haven't really played any call of duty's before but i do have people to play with and i know that COD5 has co op is there any significant difference though? i also heard that COD4 co op is really short is it the same for 5?

so i bought a PS3 a couple of weeks ago and so far i've picked up Resistance 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Guitar Hero Aerosmith. This weekend im considering picking up either warhawk, uncharted, rachet and clank future, or i dunno, that's why im posting to get some ideas for a good game. Should i pick up one of the Call of Duty games, maybe Modern Warfare? I don't really care for stuff like LBP, i just want a game with good replay value, or a great multiplayer game.

TC, i think the words epic fail sum up your attempt. I have Resistance 2, i own only a PS3 of the modern gen. consoles and your arguement fails, especially points 4 and 5. You're discussing 360 vs. PS3, not Resistance 2 versus Gears 2

I think he means an R1 patch; 1.2^
If he means the PS3 firmware, then he can go here.

BTW, TC. you can d/l the updates from the Internet to an USB flash and insert it to your PS3 and update it that way.GreenGoblin2099

oh sorry if i was unclear. The problem is downloading the patch to be able to get online online lol (if that makes any sense).

idk if it's a new update, but i need it to play online. but where do i d/l the update from the internet?

Hey guys, i just got a PS3 and i picked up Guitar Hero Aerosmith, MGS4 (bundled), and Resistance 2. I played through the single player campaign with resistance and i just got a wireless setup and wanted to play online. Thing is to get online you need to install some update (i think it was 1.2, whichever one you need to sign in PSN in game) and for some reason it gets to like 10% or 6% or some random number and then it just stops. Got any ideas as to why this is happening?

to clarify he said ALL ps3 games do not have dedicated servers, sorry for sounding like a super dork but FBI Sniper made a legimate mistake.

I call that over zealous fanboy rebuttal. Symptoms: lacking reading comprehension, illiteracy and sometimes dyslexia.

actually, he said all ps3 games DON'T have dedicated servers. I'm pretty sure he meant that not all ps3 games have dedicated servers, but i see why he made the mistake.
