On a serious note, I plan on getting this game for PC, because it will - obviously - look and run better, despite how negligible the differences seem to be based on compressed trailers.

Yes it will look better, but lets be serious here unless you got a titan gtx no one will be getting their game to look as good as the pc trailer did there. Especially looking back at Ubisofts track record for making pc games. You will need more power than what they list as the recommended settings because they are so bad at optimizing their game for pc

I've got an i7-920 clocked at 3.5 GHz (I can get it up to 4GHz if necessary) and an HD 7970. I will max out this game.

No my friend you wont. Your gpu is not near enough power to what you need. A ps4 gpu is about as powerful as that.

This has been my theory from the beginning. The whole downgrade fiasco is just mainly do to the fact that we hadn't seen much daytime footage until recently. While there are some differences in the color scheme and lighting, the game looks pretty much the same E3 2013 demo during the sunset and night time sections.

By the way, there was some PS4 night time footage recorded at Pax. It's only 15 seconds though.

Yet my point taken even from the horrible recording i can still see significant graphics.

Shoot me down all you want but I'm going to be completely honest. It looks the fucking same. Yeah maybe some shadows and lighting effect but i don't think that's worth an extra $1,000 to me. If you compare side by side footage of The new pc footage and new ps4 welcome to chicago trailer it doesn't look that much different really. And here what i think about it. If you notice if almost if not all pc footage of Watch Dogs is in a dark rainy environment. So when you are in a dark rainy environment you're going to get a couple other graphic pops like: moving shadows, reflections, lighting shining on the rain, and the terrain itself when it has water on it. I mean if you go back and look at ALL the trailers for ps4 not one of them has this environment. I mean we've all walked out a dark rainy day and we've all walked out on a bright sunny day. And i can tell you, on a dark rainy day you don't have many things blaring your visuals (I'm talking about the sun). In a dark rainy day you have things like street lights porch lights and other glares of light that really make your environment change. And i honestly think if/when they show off PS4 gameplay during the night the game will once again look gorgeous. Plus if we refer back to the Infamous second son rant. Everyone was thinking "Oh the graphics are so downgraded," Well what happened after the game released? It was as beautiful as the first trailer. I really think a lot of you just need to take a chill pill and calm down. The game will be great!

@Lhomity: It is a big deal. I often buy collectors edition of games I really look forward to. For example I currently have the Watch Dogs Ded Sec edition (AKA collectors edition) on pre order. And it comes with the game and things that are just as valuable as this. If this product flies of the shelves and a lot of people buy it devs will take note of this. They too will make their game's collectors edition come with no game and will totally ruin buying a collectors edition.

Shit is getting out of control. Article here

You're telling me im going to pay $100 mother fucking dollars for a collectors edition, and i don't even get the game. "OOOOOOHHHH HHHHEEEEELLLLLL NOOOOOO!!!!." I'm sorry, but if you buy this i am assuring you that you are the biggest dumbass on the face of this planet. I don't care how rich you are, how much of a die hard fan you are. If you buy it, your really freaking stupid. Sorry but it's the truth. You know I really hope that not one single person buys this just to show how stupid this is. And we can't let this happen guys. It might start out as one game, but other companies will take notice, and will take on the same stupid ass practice. Next thing we know BF5 and Call of duty black ops shit 3 (LOL) will make a collectors edition and won't have a game with it (and if you know EA you know they will be the first mother fuckers to try it out.) So please do not buy into this scandle. That's all i ask for. I would like to be able to keep on buying collectors editon of games in the future without having to think about how retarded it is buying it.

My mom absolutely hates that i play video games, and hates video games in general. But it makes me wonder, why do parents hate gaming? Now i know for sure i don't have the only mom (i don't have a dad but for you it could just both of your parents) in the world that hates gaming. It frustrates me how some parents think gaming is such a bad thing, but its not. And i will admit, i probably play video games way too much.

But the thing is, I don't act like a die hard no life gamer, and don't show the negative side effects of gaming. I'm a very smart kid (i just ended the grading period on high honor roll and I'm in the National Juniors Honor Society). On top of that I'm one of those kids that understand life very well for my age (I'm 14). Anyway back to the main topic. It boggles my mind how some parents are so against there kid playing video games.

Like i said before i always play video games. And I'm not one of those kids who sits at a tv scream and yells out "HACKER!" every time i get killed in COD (i don't even play COD now but i did when i was like 10 and still didn't yell at the screen and other things the childish kids do). I play games like CIV 5, Crusader Kings 2, Europa Universalis IV, Payday 2, and Arma 3. Now this doesn't apply to Payday 2, but these games can be pretty fucking hard to learn.

If you know these games you know you can't just turn on Crusader Kings 2 and start playing it. A little squeaker from COD wouldn't last 5 seconds in Arma 3. So really it's not like I physically annoy my family with yelling at screens or abruptly smashing buttons; I'm as quiet as a mouse when I play games. I mean i play them though because I have nothing else to do. It's been a long as 7 month winter.

Not like im going to go outside or anything. And even if it was warm outside it's not like I would have anything to do as all the kids in my neighborhood are either too young, too old, or have a totally different life style than me (and I'm NOT referring to them no liking gaming its very many other things too). When my mom asks me to do something i always do it also. I listen to my mom and do anything she asks me to. But apparently that's not enough for her to stop bitching at me to do something. Like i said before I play video games any chance i get. Which is practically right after school till about 10:30. But i play sports. I do wrestling, track, and football. (I'm very good at all 3 of them).

I don't it just gets very annoying how my mom won't leave me alone about it.

They're both macho 'Murica save the day military games appealing to the same audiences. Both have declined in quality considerably through installments and I think consumer feedback is showing this.

However, everyone claiming Titanfall is the CoD killer aren't aware it's CoD in a different skin.

i absolutely agree with you about the Titanfall post. Its especially declining after they announced AI was going to be used in all multiplayer sessions
