So I'm building my friend a desktop, he has given me a budget of $600-$700. This is list so far: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB OC Here ASrock 970 Extreme 3 MotherBoard Here 8 GB of RAM A 1TB HDD A Sharkoon T9 Case Here And an AMD FX 6200 Here The problem is thats $622 and I haven't chucked in a PSU yet. I can get a not-so-well-know brand 900W PSU for $90 (from another shop) or I can play it safe and get a Silverstone 600W for $110 from here. Which would you suggest? Also postage is looking to be $60, which means It looks like it will be more $750-800 all up. On that site I linked, is there any cheaper alternative parts that are not considerably worse than what I've selected? I really need to stay at about $700, but with it equaling $622 already without PSU and postage, its looking like it will go over. Any help is appreciated. Edit: How about if I replaced the case with this It has an included 500W PSU

"he Shield also has the ability to stream games from a home Windows PC equipped with a GeForce GTX 650 (or higher) graphics card to the handheld device over Wi-Fi, letting users access their library of PC games, including games in the Steam library, while on the go. " Does this mean the GPU has to be a 650 or higher in model, like as in 650,660,670 etc. Or in power? I have a 550Ti, which is more powerful than a 650, but it's in the 500 range. Anyone want to take a wild guess for me?

http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-project-shield There is a thread in System Wars, but seeing as its NVIDIA and it works with PC, I thought it was relevant. 'Most PC gamers own a fairly sizabl games library. But unlike music and video which can be streamed freely around the house, playing PC games requires sitting in front of a PC. Even if the picture could be streamed, where would it stream to and how would one interact with it? SHIELD elegantly solves both problems. With a 5 inch 1280x720 screen and a full sized controller, it is capable of not only displaying a PC game in its full glory, it lets you play it too. And because the rendering is done on the PC and the picture is streamed as video, you get GeForce GTX class graphics and long battery life. Its kind of like having a GeForce GTX PC in the palm of your hand combined with the battery life of a Tegra device.'

[QUOTE="Bikouchu35"]

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"]Building a PC is all cool and worthwhile, but these days if you buy a PC from a Computer Shop they build it for you for FREE or real cheap, so why go into the hassle (unless you want to really learn)?FelipeInside

Maybe if you order off ncix and let them build it, I think they do it. Otherwise retail stores are still a ripoff plus ~$50-100 labor.

Well yeah, depends on the store. The one I used to work for (I'm in Australia though) does the build for free if you buy from them. Some only charge AU$30-50. It saves a bit of hassle for those that don't want to build it themselves or have the time to.

Who would that be? I've been using PCCaseGear and building my own, but a few friends want to get PC's but want me to buy the parts and build it. Whereas if there is a store that does it free I might consider using that store for my mates.

So, just curious, how big/full is your favourites list? How many games do you have in the list and is it bigger or smaller than your 'Games' list? I have 29 games in Favourites and 26 in 'Games'. Yes, I have a small number of games, but it means no backlog :P Anyway, you?

I couldn't see a 'request a sig' thread, so I'll just make my request here? I don't really have any ideas, I suppose it just has to look awesome and have Creaturemagic written somewhere on it. For reference I'm into: Anything Valve Zombies and Walking Dead Mount and Blade Natural Selection 2 Xcom Total War series Company of Heroes Planetside 2 Deus Ex Series Supreme Commander Anything dinosaurs I hope I've done the right thing. If there is a thread to request sigs, could someone point me to it? If not, I hope someone can create a sig :) Thanks!
