Movies for now. Games haven't quite reached the point where they can be considered an actual artistic medium. Sure, there have been exceptions, but by and large most games are not what could really be considered works of art. So far, I can count the games that move me the way great films do on one hand. Right now is sort of the 'Silent Film' era of video games. I can't really say we've had our 'The Birth of a Nation' yet, but wheels are turning.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, some of the new Simpsons are really good, like the one where Bart is a jazz drummer.

All in all, Simpsons is just better written and better drawn. Family Guy uses really basic art, and the jokes rely on non-sequiturs and pop-culture references WAY too much. The first 3 seasons weren't too bad, but now it's not all that good anymore.

Congratulations on your astute observation. I'm not a huge fan personally, but My Arms, Your Hearse was an alright record. It's probably a bit deathier, so I can't recommend it to you, really.

I had 'less than .75 Hz' for the test, I was getting most of the .375 Hz ones right.

I got 84% on the Rhythym test.

I got 86.1% on the Tonedeaf test.

Only 70% on the Musical-Visual :(.

It could've been WAY better. They should've cast someone else in Edward Norton's place, at least for the second half. The focus on the relationship with his little brother didn't really draw me in that much, largely because I hate my little brother.

This Is England > American History X, in any case.

1. Stalker - Just an amazing film.

2. Werckmeister Harmonies - While not as overall amazing, it has the single most powerful sequence I've ever seen. Also spawned a post-rock band of the same name that only released 2 REALLY GOOD songs.

3. Yojimbo/Sanjuro - I put these two together because they are essentially about the same character, and they're both just awesome.

4. Cemetary Man - For proving that zombie films can be arthouse films, too.

5. Conan the Barbarian - Simply the best high fantasy movie ever made. Also has one of the best original scores of any movie I've ever seen.
