1. Tomas Corn (Lykathea Aflame) is indeed a better drummer than Flo.
2. Dethklok is in all seriousness one of the best death metal bands out there.
3. This thread needs more Augury and Cynic.
4. Get an audioscrobbler account, for Keel's sake.
Oftentimes yes. But intelligent people are capable of excessive cursing as well. It just isn't as common, because intelligent people tend to understand that cursing is more impactful when it is used sparingly rather than profusely.pianistThis is the rule that governs what comes out of my mouth.
[QUOTE="ConkerAndBerri2"]fool there would be so many O/D deaths in the u.s. the death rate would probably double. only things that you cant over dose on should be legalized. and if all the drugs were legalized our prisons would be almost completely empty. and our cops would be total lazy asses. Edit : our cops would be alot lazier.inoperativeRS
You do realize you can overdose on milk, water, alcohol, sugar etc. (and yes they can all be lethal)?
Yes, you can, but overdosing on Marijuana is physically impossible. You can overdose on THC via the synthetic pills (I believe they're called Marinol), but not from smoking pot or eating magic brownies specifically. Depending on your body weight, you have to go through roughly 450 pounds of pot in 6 hours for the dose to kill you, while I'm absolutely certain that you'd die of asphyxiation from the smoke first.
Unfortunately, the only way for the TC to judge is to listen to each of them, as I am not gonna go nitpick through this crap.
I am not going to get wasted, that seems like a dumb thing to do when you're celebrating.
[QUOTE="erc500"]Personally i think wizzard is better because Rincewind is not so stupid to spell it with an A but he is certainly careless and useless enough at wizarding to add an extra Z.
Did you ever see the made for TV version of Hogfather?
Junkie_man
Yes, they managed to make an incredibly witty and smart book into something boring and infantile.
If you really want something about Rincewind I'd recommend "Interesting Times", though "The Colour of Magic" is a very good introduction to the Discworld universe.
Has anyone ever read "The Science of Discworld"? it's not as anoraky as it sounds, but is in fact a very well written science book for the layperson and a very funny Discworld story. It should be required reading for creationists, as any one still remotely capable of rational thought would quickly see the error of their ways.
Satire as good as this just can't be translated to a screen. But it was good enough for Pratchett to let them do it, and for him to have a cameo in it. Even if it wasn't as witty, it did get the main point across. It's not THAT bad. Good enough for them to do The Colour of Magic/The Light Fantastic, anyways. This time with Sean Astin and Tim Curry, and Christopher Lee is doing Death's voice.
And in case you guys didn't know, this article is at least two years old by now.
