Ren and Stimpy was also on Spike for a while. My favorite canceled show is probably Korgoth of Barbaria, although it only got one episode. Also, Perfect Hair Forever.

You haven't heard Agalloch until you've listened to it driving through a blizzard in the night through the mountains of the Northwest.

Anyone's fine with me as long as their guitar speaks to me when they play it.

GabuEx

This is essentially true for me, but I also like guitarists who can evoke a mood without drowning out the other instruments.

Eh. So he was a coprophiliac. Lots of people are. As a joke I will occasionally recommend him to my friends.

I play maybe 15-20 hours a week right now. I also work 28 hours a week and go to class 10 hours a week. I have a 3.27 college GPA, am learning Lua, Java, DirectX and XNA. I also have been able to start writing screenplays, and I still manage to hang out with my friends a couple days a week.

Shallow, indeed.

I hate to rekindle this argument, but it's the most recent topic, and I found this: http://blogs.sfweekly.com/thesnitch/2009/02/legalize_it_ammiano_to_introdu.php.

Basically, an assemblyman in California is proposing total legalization and taxation of the plant in order to help dig the state out of debt. It would still have some pretty strict regulations on it, but would be by and large available to 21-year olds and go for 50$ an ounce. The hope is that with taxation, it will generate a few billion dollars and get the state of debt.

Could someone linkify that for me, please? I'm too lazy to switch browsers.

Agalloch
Cynic
Unexpect
Mike Patton projects (you might be able to recognize the vocalist in all his bands, but he covers a lot of avant garde sound)
Secret Chiefs 3
Grails
Hella
Analogik
Eluvium
!T.O.O.H.!
Arcturus (less of a unique sound but definitely an evolving one)
Ulver (same deal)
Baroness (not necessarily unique, but they play a very recognizable brand of riff, meaning if you've heard First or Second, you wouldn't forget it)
Diamanda Galas
Black Moth Super Rainbow
Brightblack Morning Light
Coil
Colour Haze (other stoner/psychedelic bands have existed, but no one plays with the emotional force of this trio)
Genghis Tron
God Is An Astronaut
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Grandaddy
Gregor Samsa
Hanggai
In Flames (say what you want now, but their early stuff had a very distinctive sound)
Lykathea Aflame
Moondog
Mountains In The Sky
Portishead
Psychedelic Avengers
Radiation 4
Ratatat (yeah, there are tons of other indietronica bands, but these are the only guys I know with a strong Latino tinge)
The Angelic Process (I haven't listened to too many other bands like them)
the Pax Cecilia (take THAT, Opeth fans)
Titan
Windir
Wolves in the Throne Room

No. It's a test of how well you retain information (Math and Verbal), and how well you can form an argument (Writing). It does not test the rate or capacity of learning of the students.
