The University of Maryland in Baltimore County (UMBC) is really good, and cheap compared to the likes of MIT and such. I know a kid who sleeps on a server rack, owns 30 computers, only two which run windows, runs a private WLAN, and that was his first choice for college.

Mass Effect to me looks like the crappy graphics of Halo crossed over with a Star Wars sort of story. Don't get me wrong, I loved Halo 1, hated Halo 2's online mode, but "smoewhat liked the story"...Hate Star Wars, and this game just seems like its shaping up to be Knights of the Old Republic minus the Jedi's....

anyone else feel this way? I want a real good RPG, like Chrono Cross ish, or FFish to friggin come out. I find all these space cowboy RPG's lame, they don't feel like they have the deep stories with a close feel to the characters like FF7,8,10 did. :(

I'm hopinh Lost Odyssey, or The Last Remnant will at least bring that feel back.

If you want a character-based story, go play JRPGs. If you want a 'hard' science fiction story, play Mass Effect. I personally like it when my characters are fighting for more than some internal motive.

Well, their longest song is 20 minutes. Typically, there is harsher vocals than what they have now...he didn't sing anything mid-range pre-Ghost Reveries. But you'd probably like stuff like Blackwater Park, which is considered to be their best album.

No, it's been estimated that Conan has killed roughly 80,000 men and creatures (not forest critters, either, I'm talking about huge pythons, blobs, gigantic vultures, that sort of thing) singlehandedly. Leonidas had killed maybe 5,000 in his entire life.

I'm getting both, because they're both looking really good at this point. But don't downplay COD4. I'm in the beta, and I played it for 4 hours last night. It is up there with Halo 2 and Counterstrike in terms of addictiveness.

[QUOTE="Legacyoftain"]See here is whyI have to disagree...anyone who as ever read Conan comics knows he is basiclly the epitome of manlyess...If Conan had a face to face talk with Xerxies...rather than organizing 300 troops to fight his army Conan would have just riped Xerxies testicles off slit his throat and then proceded to have his way with his womens....thats the kind of guy Conan is...Would love to see Leo say "This is SPARTA!!!" to Conan and before he can even finish the sentence Conan would take the blunt end of his axe and shove it up Leo's rear.muppet1010

THIS IS SPARTTAAAAAA!!!1!1!!!!!!!!11

*kicks legacyoftain down a well*

Conan's too quick for that, and he'd never let himself get backed up to a pit.

And in case anyone was wondering, they're trying to do another Conan movie, closer to the books (the other two had almost nothing to do with the books, period), bloodier, darker, and more accurate. This means no Arnold. As good as the first one was, Conan is of Celtic ethnicity, not Austrian. In addition, there's an animated Conan movie almost out on DVD with Ron Perlman as Conan and Luke Hamill as the villain (forgot his name).

No Arnie for the voice, is all I ask. He doesn't do Conan Justice...Conan was more Celtic than Germanic. Ron Perlman can do it just fine.
