what!? first of all the controls aren't bad, second of all, the story is what kept Resident Evil alive. RE4 ruined the story. All it's about, is Leon saving the presidents daughter from aliens. There aren't even zombies in RE4Things like limited saves and purposefully bad controls are really lazy, artificial ways of trying to scare people, hence why an RE game has never succeeded in doing so for me. These things in addition to poor stories and goofy enemy designs (giant spiders and lizard men, really?) make the series' attempts at 'horror' more of a farce than anything else. It's the video-game equivalent of a b-movie.
