i never had an issue with nintnedos online. its has always seemed primitive, but functional. mainly, its free and Nintendo doesn't want you paying for the service, they want you collecting games. All the 3rd party whatever.. online has been fine in my expierence...and anything like wii sports club or even dr luigi works just fine for me. I have over 30 games now for my Wii u, and over 100 if you add wii, and my old VC/wiiware...so I have never understood why people trash it. my ps3 is used only for diablo 3 for the last 4-5 months, and will be used only for dark souls 2 soon. I wont pay to play since I don't support turning console gaming into a service like cable tv...which is where the future of gaming is sadly going.

I also want to just add, that Nintendo has always had the best local multiplayer and that's one of the reason why I love Nintendo. gaming is meant to be played with people, not huddled in a dark attic with a headset shooting people all the time. that's pretty depressing IMO.

No one mentioned zombiu. It's a fun arcade style zombie fps. Great use if gamepad and for the 100 hours I've played, it still jumps me.

Gta is a decent series that I almost enjoy... I would have got it day 1 just because , but I would have been bored in a month and sold it for most of my $ back. Pc , wii u gamer right now. And since that's what rockstar thinks of me, that's what their game is worth to me.

1. Super metroid 2. Prime 1 or 3 are equal IMO. 3. Metroid 2, return of samus. 4. Other m. Hey, despite terrible voice acting, it's a good game. More action then metroid, but I loved it. 100%/0%.

Until last weekend. My launch wii finally died. It won't read discs. O well since I have a wii U and that was in my kids room now. But I collected more then 50 disc games, 75 wiiware/vc and countless others I traded to eBay. It is by far the best video game console I owned. I only had 1 complaint and that not many people cared about all the great games it did have and they were to busy playing cod on their xbox360.

This must be your first metroid game. In metroid, you ate always seeing an item, or path to explore...but can't until you find the correct item to proceed. It mean back tracking through areas, and watching those areas change as the game goes. It turns a small ship into a huge world to explore. Good luck and play the prime series or super metroid after. And a side note, metroid is my 3rd fav game series ever after Zelda and then Starcraft.

controls are one of the most important aspect of playing a game. the controls need to work. simple. different games require different type of controls and more work at learning sometimes, but they must work. im all for gamepads for some games, but keyboard and mouse for others. personally, i prefer wiimote for fps over a gamepad. But overall, the wii u gamepad is the best controller built. it can play full games right on it, touchscreen controls, has dual analog, speakers, mics all built in. itsjust as confortable to hold then ps3 or xbox360 controllers, and even works great. its a shame that im probably one of the only ones who think this though.

Nintendos achievements are getting star levels for for collecting star coins. Hidden heart pieces or missile expansions. Not a virtual trophy telling you you just collected all the star coins. Trophies are a waste of devs time that should be put into making more actual content. And don't say it adds replay because any good game will add replay on its own, meaning you will want to play it. I don't heed a trophy saying u just got 150 head shots with my shotgun.
