The Vita and the 3DS are different enough to cater to different markets through providing different experiences, even taking account of overlay. There are games that I prefer to play on the Vita instead of the 3DS and games that I prefer to play on the 3DS than Vita. I think developers understand that and that is why there are going to be many experiences exclusive to the Vita.

It probably won't do as well as the 3DS, but it doesn't need to and it certainly won't die.

Not a bad deal, but I wouldn't know which game to pick up since there aren't any that interest me. Waiting for Gravity Daze..
