Battlefield used to be about skill. Not spraying your gun hoping for supression in the vain hope your best "buddy" kills a vegatable thats dazed and cunfused for five minutes. Tsk, Kids these days, want it all easy...
What these so called game developers want and what we as the game buying public actually want are two totally different things, and this blatently shows it. They live in some fantastical dreamworld of fantasy. I really dont understand the comment "Games will be a service, not a product" either, well surely they still are a product? We still buy them dont we?
All I can fathom from this is more churned out guff that is trying to get everyone on board this so called digital "revolution" What most people, like David, seem misurdestand, is that these so called "Evil" Brick and mortar shops are doing is providing people with jobs, people work, people need to work...
I get the feeling that in Davids dream world there wouldnt be any shops, stores or people working. That somehow everything would magically come from the internet. Sadly thats not the case. And judging from Davids world he'd be happy to see the consumer get screwed at just about every turn. Like has been said before on the comments section, has he actually seen the prices people are paying for NOTHING in regards to this "Oh so wonderful" Digital revolution? Of course he has. Now ask yourself, why is he such a supporter of this? I'm sure you can gather your own answer to that..
Oh and one more thing David. As much as you want the consoles to be Digital Download only I'm affraid that probably wont happen. You see there is also this other thing called the Internet David and unfortunately you see, people actually have it for it to work. Now I'm betting that quite a few people who bought a PS3 or an Xbox sadly dont have it. For Sony or Microsoft to alienate quite a few customers wouldnt be a smart thing and I'm sure you agree.
What a load of tripe. And for anyone to actually be fooled by this tripe must either have more money than sense or like being taken for a ride.
