I still dont get why they (developers) still do that floating-on-a-cloud-effect when walking... the rest of the characters jump around and they visibly move a lot more when they walk, but the feeling on every FPS is always the same. I don't like that, i think they should work a little bit more on the movement and ad some random factors like tripping, slipping, and something no one has done before, ready?? the effect of slamming your self against walls, doors, and solid object, not only the softly pillowed feeling of stopping against objects.... a good old full on slam against a wall....
Honestly I don't see any big difference between BF3 and this one, I guess it will be a good generic game with nothing but new textures to offer, no major breakthrough in innovations, game style, Ai, weather factors, etc.
For sure I'll download the demo, if there is one, but buying it? man....I feel like someone at EA is laughing at me.... "here you go gamers, have another game, just like the last one". O_o
@Cainrae LOL That's exactly what it is!!! big time Hybrid!! BF3 with extra textures, more maps and jungle (I hate jungles...) with bullet proof banana trees....
I played every single Cod since day 1, and loved every minute of it, years, actually... When Cod was out it set a standard for FPS, and every one followed, or tried. BF3 is the first of this series I have ever played, I was so into the Cod saga that I never considered playing nothing else, GoW, sometimes.... I started playing BF3 around 3 months ago and i'm totally amazed, yes is not like on any PC and Bla, Bla , bla... (XBOX user).
I don't want to sound like an evangelist trying to convince anyone about anything, but BF3 is like CoD when was out, the new standard to follow. I can't imagine playing any game without destructible environment and big maps. So my question is, why Cod, MW and all those that where ahead of everyone, suddenly chose to stick with the same formula and make us believe they where doing new stuff?Adding "new" layers of buildings and different lightning effects is not enough. MW3 was my breaking point. I was totally disappointed and as much I wated to buy it, it didn;t made any sense to spend money in a product that didnt offer anything new. So yes, BF3 can have bunch of defects, but its years ahead of all the rest of FPS. :)
