Here me out. Dante in the new Devil may Cry video game was HEAVILY discriminated against. Why? Because he is very good looking. In fact he looks like a young male model. Even my girlfriend, who was eyeing me playing my video games, remarked, "OMG He's hot!". But to the average fat, pimply gamer Dante was "emo", he was gay he was a "dork". This distracted from what was otherwise an EXCELLENT hack and slash game. Dante was discriminated against simply because he was very good looking.

There is SOME progress however. Drake in the Uncharted games is very good looking yet remains popular. Perhaps in time all good looking male characters will be accepted. I can only hope.

As a very good looking guy myself, this offends me. We should judging games by their CONTENT and their character, and not on superficial reasons. Do you agree we gamers need to stop discriminating against good looking male characters?

1) You DON'T have a girlfriend 2) It's a game on a fictional character (where developers try to make leads as "cool" as possible) 3) Get a life dude.

With all this expensive beefed up hardware, I sure hope developers can make games longer than 6-10 hrs. S

I am far from surprised, this has become usual fair from Sony.  Sony fanboys dismiss Nintendo ideas, few months later Sony copies thesame thing.  Well, as long as somebody make great games with that technology....

You know nothing about the world of business. Big companies like Sony need to patent everything to protect themselves, it doesn't mean that the patent ever will be utilized, especially not the game unfriendly flopped WiiU concept.

And you know everything about business, which is why you spend your time on video game forums educating us dummies. Get out of here!!!!!

[QUOTE="Heil68"]In July 2012, At this point, its just a patent filing and doesnt necessarily reflect anything well see any time soon, but it's certainly food for thought as we approach Sonys PlayStation event next week in New York. http://vocaroo.com/i/s0v3H7hDs1hV

It sure will be interesting come this Wednesday. Even though they may "copy" the idea, my whole thing is I hope it is properly implemented with the games. It can only succeed if developers and Sony/Nintendo really take advantage of this new playing format.

Sony, having already announced they would like for Microsoft to unveil their next-gen console first (so as to quickly copy their ideas) is staying close to it's true nature of stealing ideas and is right on the heels of Nintendo AND Microsoft.  With the recent hype of "Nintendo Direct", Sony has invited fans to join them to "see the future" come Feburary 20th.  I think they'll call it "Sony Live!"  LOL.  Having failed woefully this generation with a direct duplicate of the XBOX 360 LT/RT buttons and the Wii-mote, what are they going to unveil?  Since rumors are that they are doing away with the dual shock (big mistake), I think they would unveil the "Dual Screen" controller.

Wait, thats the Nintendo DS....:) :) :P :P

LOLOLOLOL!  What are your thoughts on what Sony would unveil.  I'm hoping for demos of games running on the PS4.
