@alisdairw @MooncalfReviews Maybe R* do hate women and wanted to portray that.

Are they not allowed to do that?

@Atheosis @Darth_Aloysius @bluefox755 Yep and they need to be consistent. Why is Caroline being defended.

I've had personal attacks against me multiple times within the gamespot forums. And i'm not trying to single myself out. I'm just highlighting the hypocrisy of this being an issue on a selective basis.

Here's a simple solution...

Let people express their opinion. Enable and support free speech, unless that is hate speech.

Have a clear definition of what hate speech is - and no, that doesn't include someone expressing concern or disagreement with someone else. And it doesn't include suggesting that an employee ought to lose their job, or in some way be reprimanded.

I shouldn't need to tell GS what is a personal attack. They ought to have figured that out by now. Afterall, the discussion forums have only been live for 10 years or so (that's a guess by the way).

@Darth_Aloysius Well comments on internet gaming sites are what they are. They are over whelming silly and ill thought out.

That's just how it is.

If Feedbackula is supposed to be a sardonic celebration of that, then that's cool - because look at all of us being willing to participate within the forums.

I don't see the point in choosing to get offended every now and then.

@Jdzspace Yes - this viewpoint is virtually exactly the same as mine.

And I agree that people do have the right to question her ability to be a reviewer when this review is so thoroughly unfair and flawed.

It's not as if this wasn't an extremely important game. This is arguably the most important game that has ever been released.

So convenient that it happened to be the one that Caroline clears her throat and stands atop a soap box.

Coincidence I'm,sure.

@Boogaloozle Some of them have a sexist agenda.

They want better female characters in games.

They feel hard done by that most games don't feature strong female characters.

The issue has been raised. It has been discussed. We're aware of what some people think.

Now can you please only raise the issue again at an appropriate time, and not attempt to hijack a major gaming event (the release of GTA 5) to further promote your personal and poliical beliefs - UNLESS THERE IS A GENUINE REASON TO DO SO.

And, if you insist that there is a genuiine reason to do so, could you please be CONSISTENT and BALANCED.

Don't just harp on about sexism and ignore racist elements. That would be inconsistent and unbalanced - and would (has) make your flawed attempts transparent.

@MajahretDiviera I agree with the general sentiment here. It's my main objection too.

If you're offended, fine, but you have to be consistent with it. And sensible and reasonable. If you're being paid to present your well thought out views that is.

@RedLegZeff @SaurabhAV So let her respond to those of us that have misinterpreted her review. That's all she needs to do.

If she says, hey guys (n girls), to be clear the game didn't get a 10 because of these issues (bugs, repetitiveness, gameplay or whatever) and not the subjective misogyny that I was banging on about, then we'll be able to accept that..

@nigelholden I agree with the first part.

Its kind of like if the colour blind complained that there aren't enough games made in black and white.

Sure, that would be good for them - but not good for the audience as a whole.

@Casuallad Yep I agree with a lot of point here.

Reviewing a game shouldn't be that complicated. And the review shouldn't be so dull.

It's a great game. What needs to be said. It does this well, that well, that not so much. Done.

There's no need for a review to be a great analysis, and if there is do it properly.

Go watch Sesslers review(s) and pick up some tips.

He's a guy that knows what he's talking about.
