I agree that GTA IV was boring and certainly overrated, but I don't think anything can come close to MGS IV as far being the most overrated game of last gen.  The game got near perfect reviews from almost every site but was nothing more than cutscene after cutscene the entire game.  A complete piece of trash IMO.

Nintendo is so incompetent that I wouldn't expect them to announce anything. I honestly don't know how these guys find their way to work in the morning. If they had an ounce of common sense they would announce a new model with a much bigger hard drive and $199 price immediately.

The point is that Amazon is not really the best way to get a new console. I enjoy release night. It is a fun social setting and everyone there is hyped up! Like I said earlier, I'll get my XBOX ONE and be out the door of Gamestop about 12:10 AM. Go home hook it up and get through all of the initial set up crap so that way in the morning, I'll just be ready to game. Meanwhile the Amazonians wont even get their system until midday on launch day and wont even be playing until that night. ShoTTyMcNaDeS

Saving $30 in sales tax and not having to stand out in the cold with a bunch of crazies is totally worth ordering from Amazon.  I think I can wait until the evening of launch day to play.  Besides I have a job and life so a midnight release is a no go.

It's the price that's the problem, not so much the name or it being underpowered. I can get a hamburger at McDonald's or I can get one at Morton's. Obviously the one at McDonald's isn't nearly as good but people still buy lots of it because it is much cheaper than the one at Morton's. People will buy a Wii U but only if it's no more than half the price of the PS4. The Wii U might not even be as powerful as a PS3, but Nintendo wants to price it close to the PS4. It's this basic concept that Nintendo can't seem to grasp.

Does anyone know how much software the Wii sold in comparison to the 360 and PS3? Everyone I know that has a Wii is either a woman or a little kid and most just played Wii sports and Wii fit a few times. I'd like to see real numbers on this because I doubt it sold nearly as much software per system as the others did.

[QUOTE="david61983"]I would definitely hold off at this point. I was watching Fox Business this morning and they were talking about how Nintendo and it's console department are in shambles. Their business analysts said that the Wii U had been a major disaster for Nintendo thus far and that it was very unlikely they could turn things around. It could very well be another Virtual Boy so I would certainly hold off at least until there is a major price cut. Way too much risk in buying one right now even if you're a Nintendo fanboy. masterninja9
So... you recommend on holding off on buying a Wii U because it's not selling well? What kind of stupid shit is that?

Not stupid at all. It's simply common sense. The point is that the Wii U is selling so terribly that one of two things will happen...either Nintendo will abandon it like they did the Virtual Boy and you will have wasted a bunch of money or they will give it a major price drop in order to increase sales in which you will have been smart to wait. Nintendo can't keep supporting it if sales continue the way they are, and they will likely only get worse once the PS4 and Xbone release unless, like I said, Nintendo gives it a major price drop. Plus, it hardly has any games either right now so why buy now?

The Vita is just like the Wii U. It needs a $100 price cut coupled with a release of a bunch more good games. Only then will it sell.

If Nintendo is truly serious about moving WiiUs they need to get the price to $199 ASAP. A bigger hard drive and future game announcements would help. Setting the price at $299 won't do dick to move the systems. The PS4, which has a 500gb hard drive and plays blurays and dvds, will soon be available. Not to mention it is vastly more powerful than the WiiU. No one would pass that up just to save a $100. If Nintendo has any chance with the WiiU it must be half the price of the PS4. Gimmicks won't save Nintendo this time.

I went to Bestbuy today and played the WiiU for the first time. I can honestly say, unless they drop the price enormously, it will be a huge failure. Everything looks and plays just like a 360 or PS3 game but released many years later. I have no idea who would buy this thing but for a major price cut.
