The only way I can see the Xbone not being a complete disaster is if they drop the price by $100 before launch and make Xbox Live free. If they did that people would buy it even with the DRM and ridiculous 24 hour online thing. Otherwise it's the next Virtual Boy.
I wonder if we'll see people camping out 2 weeks before launch like with the PS3. Weren't there a bunch of idiots doing that at the Burbank Best Buy right before it launched in 2006 and made to leave by Best Buy a few days later? I thought it was pretty hilarious.
Will the XBone and PS4 be able to do Netflix and Amazon streaming without a Live or PS+ subscription? I'm pretty sure the Xbone requires Live but wasn't sure of the PS4.
I honestly don't understand what MS is trying to accomplish with the XB1. It's like they were trying to capture both the hardcore gamers and the casual ones at the same time with all of the Kinect stuff. Unfortunately for them though they have priced themselves out of the casual market and the hardcore gamers won't put up with the used game and always online crap. It looks like they are going to end up falling between 2 stools which is surprising because say whatever you want about MS they usually aren't stupid. They have been extremely stupid with the XB1.
