And people say it won't destroy the next cod sales. It could... don't assume it can't because of the term "call of duty". It's just plain silly.sethman410
It isn't silly at all, it's making a prediction based on history.

MOH was supposed to be a COD killer.
BC2 was supposed to be a COD killer.
Crysis 2 was supposed to be a COD killer.

The safe bet is on the game with COD in the title. BF3 could outsell the next COD but it is unlikely.

[QUOTE="Kinthalis"]LOL, yeah right. Console gamers don't do that. On the PC, games still have viable income streams months, years after release, on the console, sales dry up after the first few months.

I see no reason to believe this, MW2 was in the top 10 for over 2 years. Mario Galaxy is still $40. What you do think platinum hits are?

If you are saying that all shooters are generic then you are wrong. Play Rainbow Six game sometime. BF games also added a lot of original gameplay. I would put Bioshock in that group as well.

Realistic shooters bore me. No thanks.

Forget Rainbow Six, Bioshock isn't at all realistic but proof that you can add original elements to a FPS.

You're using some no-name's opinion on a game to prove you're right. Your inteligence is pretty questionable (Like most of SW) to say the least. And i like Fallout 3 FYI.MobilechicaneX
I'm proving he is in the minority opinion by calling it awful. Metacritic isn't a no-name's opinion, it's an aggregate of critic and user reviews.

Fallout 3 has a 91 for reviewers on pc, a 7.8 from users, tbh it doesn't deservethat, it's a horrible game, think only Bethesda fanboism carried it past 6 especially with reviewers.Inconsistancy
The 360 version has a 93 and was the top seller. The PC version was released with bugs so I'm not surprised the user score was lower. It got good scores at RPG sites as well. Most of the criticisms I saw were from pc gamers who wanted to be like the first two, both of which I own. Everyone has a nostalgic view of the first two and forget about how many bugs and balance issues they had. They were more open but Fallout 3/NV are more immersive.

[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"] run-of-the-mill compared to what?DarkLink77

Compared to every shooter in existence. Follow the map, shoot stuff, blow up your objective, rinse and repeat.

[QUOTE="karriston"]The graphics look nice, but the gameplay looks very run-of-the-mill. I'll pass.DragonfireXZ95

[QUOTE="dc337"]

I really don't see why I should play this instead of creating a new Fallout character.

It's like Fallout 3 but without the story, characters, humor, RPG elements, and everything else that made it fun.

DragonfireXZ95

Fallout 3 was pretty awful. :(

Alan Wake was awful, Fallout 3 has a 93 at metacritc. Anyone who lists Alan Wake in their signature has questionable taste to say the least.

Well I've completely lost interest is this game. I don't think I'm capable of playing another repetitive shooter.
