Phil Spencers favourite game is Halo 2 !?!? The worst of the trilogy !!!! even Bungie admitted they messed up with that one. Im beginning to suspect Phil Spencer isn't actually a gamer, everybody move along don't make eye contact.

Yeah and in few years time they'll turn off the servers and snatch these purchases back, trading standards should force EA to label this purchase as a 2 year rental, Im fairly sure they would see sales take a sharp dip

Kid "Mum mum is OK if Microsoft spies on me and puts me on a creepy database ? Then should you decide to run against the NSA's preferred candidate in an election, hand that information over to the NSA so they can blackmail you in return for another tax break"

Mum"yeah sure honey you go right ahead"

Its not paranoid at all, Ive have a lot of friends who work in the media, I know how it works ! just as one amusing example a few years ago a BBC news team wanted to interview various Apple execs to which an Apple press agent replied if the BBC didn't desist from pursuing an interview Apple would look very unfavourably upon the BBC and implied they would loose a lot of advertising revenue, which is hilarious as the BBC are licence fee funded and don't even carry advertisements.

@doc-brown @de-astroturfer Please read my post again notably the bit about you maybe not being part of the pattern, when I refer to a pattern Im referring to averages, averages dont cover every website do they, but the pattern infers there is something along the lines of payments being made to a good deal of journalists or rather the companies they work for, to suggest companies don't indulge in such practices or a company the size of Facebook wouldn't attempt to sway public opinion in this way is clueless they've been doing it since the advent of print !

The fact of the matter is the vast majority of gamers absolutely hate this news but strangely enough the "journalists" on all the major gaming sites think this news is great, now that constitutes a pattern, now you may genuinely hold those beliefs and strictly speaking you might therefore not be a part of that pattern, but its still a pattern and one which has only one realistic conclusion !
